Hey, sorry for the delayed response--I've been spending today looking over the game information. I'm really interested now, I can see this being a great fit for Sasame and I love a lot of the world details and the way the game is set up.

I noticed that the app period juuuust started today and is every 1-7th? I'm considering marathoning the show in the next few days and possibly apping this round, since the other game I'm majorly considering has apps opened at the end of the month and I'd like to avoid apping into two different games at the same time. I'm not sure if I'll be able to be ready quite that soon though. And I definitely don't expect you to be ready that soon, either, since this is something we just brought up.

But yes, I'm super interested in this!

Yeah, it is only open the first week of the month. I could probably do it in time since the app actually isn't that hard at all, I'd just definitely need a canon review as well and the worst of that will be figuring out what box I put my DVDs in.

Oooh, yeah, I know how that is. One time when I moved and ended up going to a con right after something I really wanted to get signed was lost somewhere in a box...I had to buy a second copy of that series, haha. (But it was my favorite series, so I didn't mind!)

If you can't find your DVDs, I think it's up on Hulu and Funimation's website right now. Possibly YouTube as well? And it's the full series, subbed. (Dubbed too if you've got a funimation subscription and use their website, but if you don't have one you can still watch the full sub for free.)

Sometimes when I'm too lazy to get the DVDs set up I just stream it, haha. |D; Although watching it on DVD is definitely ideal. Hulu does have the constant ads, which is a little annoying. not bad for free, though.

Subbed is totally fine because I'm one of those folks who never watches anime dubbed. I started watching anime in the 90s, that's enough to forever sour anyone on dubs. I was actually thinking of seeing if I could find some to stream somewhere but a lot of times you can't find subs so it's good to know they are readily available.

And Pretear is at least quite short and I have the icons made already so no having to go screencap like crazy again.

Yeah, I'm a lot more lax when it comes to dubs but honestly when it comes to Pretear...sub is the way to go. Particularly for canon reviewing. I assumed you preferred sub but I figured I should mention the dub just in case. But yeah, Funimation's been really getting the show out there available legally since they got the license for it.

And yeah, being short is a HUGE bonus. I basically don't play from super long canons because I'm too anal about canon reviews and 50+ hours of things to review would just about kill me, haha. Having icons is super helpful, too!

And in good news, already finished canon reviewing and picked out what canon point I'm running with this time around.

Ooooh, that's a great point. For Sasame I was thinking possibly right before Takako nearly drains all his leafe, but I'm not quite sure yet (particularly since I haven't rewatched that scene yet). I don't want to play dark!Sasame right away but I'm thinking he'll probably end up going that way at some point in the game.

Yay for time shenanigans! But yeah, there's a good shot he'll go that way with only Takako being around and her knowing. But I am indeed already working on her app. Feel free to let me know if you run into any trouble, though the only real hard part is the alignment and I have a feeling I know what you'll be picking there and my choice will be the surprising one.

Oh man, I wasn't thinking too closely about the fact that she knows...this'll be fun.

yeah, I'm feeling pretty sure about my alignment for him, considering his motivations throughout the series.

Yeah, the obvious for both of us is Elios (love and hate) but since I already have one aligned that way I'm going with Aiada (envy and appreciation) instead. Elios should have some interesting stuff happening soon though, we already got a bit of a tidbit of plot yesterday.

Yep, Elios seems like the right one for Sasame. I can definitely see not wanting to do the same for the two characters you play though, haha. The only other one I can see for Sasame would be Peromei but I'm already thinking of that one for another character I think I might app if I end up fitting into the game well.

Ooh, it'd be cool if I could get a plot hook with him right away.

I could also see Thras for Takako, maybe, since fear is mentioned sometimes in her character arc, but I can definitely see an argument for Aiada too.

I honestly could argue any of them for her. She's just a bundle of negativity in general. So I just went to the spreadsheet and looked at who had the least number of characters and picked them. Yeah, I was feeling that indecisive because the only thing I could for sure decide on was not Elios.

And work has been dead enough today that I have a good half of the app done now. So yeah, won't be an issue for me to get it in by the 7th.

Awesome. My app's starting to get fairly finished (I've been working on it off and on during the canon review, partially through using previous apps), I mostly just need to edit it and get a sample. I also decided to make his canon point from right before Takako drains his leafe in episode 8--like, she's just about to attack him and then BAM Empathieas! So we get all of the emotional baggage of that moment, but I don't have to worry about him being, like...nearly dead.

Actually, speaking of the sample--would you like to maybe play something off of each other for that?

Actually, the mods are pretty chill about stuff like that. I'm sure they'd allow him to be okay upon arrival if you really want the memory of what she did and some WTF factor at being fine. Heck, they let me turn back the clock on an illness that Creed died from and I took him after death since he's actually remotely sane there.

And I'd not mind doing a thread. In fact sample is pretty much all I have left now.

Dear player is fine unless you see a prompt in the test drive you really like, though they were kinda meh this time, but I admit that may be partially because one of them was recycled from last month's intro log since everyone seemed to like it so much.

Sounds good to me! In both prompts I'm assuming Sasame's been around for a week or so, so I definitely think they would've run into each other by that point.
