You come to consciousness in a dark, damp room, where everything is reflecting a very odd purple glow. It smells strongly of dust and mildew, like this place hasn't been used for anything in years. But that's clearly not the case, now, is it? After all, you're here. And so are a lot of other people, once you take a look around.

Robed women circle you, their faces hidden by their low-hanging hoods but their breasts exposed by the cut of their white drapery. In their left hands, they hold open spellbooks. With their right hands, they conjure the colorful spell that's illuminating the room. It's impossible to distinguish one woman from another at a glance (no, not even through cup size).

Then, all at once, they come to a sharp stop, the glow fading to leave only the dim light from the mounted torches to see by. Before you, the two women part to make way for another. She's dressed similarly to the others, though she wears a rich burgundy instead of white. Above her hands hovers what is most certainly a contract, made obvious by the line at the bottom where a name is to be signed.

She explains, though she's as obtuse as the hood covering her face. Though the curiosity is overwhelming, it's as if your tongue has been glued to the roof of your mouth, and there's no room to get a word in edgewise.

"You have been cordially invited by the Mistress to participate in an exclusive program for the tutelage of sorcery. We encourage you to explore the premises so you may make an informed decision about the opportunities that have been so graciously opened to you."

And then, as you're being escorted to the door, the ultimatum.

"You have twenty-four hours. Please choose wisely."

With that, you're booted out of the dank little dungeon into the rich, warm light of the castle proper. The door you've just come out of and all of the sorceresses have vanished without a trace.

apprenticewanted is a panfandom sex game set in the high fantasy, highly NSFW universe of the comic OGLAF. The game has recently gone through a NEAR-COMPLETE OVERHAUL, so if you've been thinking of joining but haven't gone through with it yet, now is the time to reconsider!

☆ Smut is rewarded, but lack of smut is not punished! We would like to let players avoid non/dub-con scenarios if they wish, which is why each new character is given the option of signing Mistress's contract.

THE PREMISE

The distant planet of Amoi is ruled by The City Council: a group of elites who are unreasonably wealthy and are automatically revived from death, essentially immortals. Their laws are enforced by Tanagura's authorities with nearly unbeatable advanced technology. On the other side of the fence, unrest is stirring. The people of Midas are poor and abused and rebels are banding together to respond to injustice with violence. They don't care who they have to kill, what they have to steal, or if they have to die trying. Things are going to change.

Whose side are you on?

The plot is directly interactive and the results of monthly events are determined by IC player actions. IC rewards and consequences include imprisonment, status changes, housing relocation, new tech/powers, torture, and more all earned over the course of one month. NPCs on both sides can be killed, pumped for information, or joined. The whole of Tanagura and Midas are open from the beginning to explore with new areas fleshed out each month. These areas can be improved on through player-created businesses, destroyed by players during events, or manipulated as characters choose. If you'd rather sit out of the ongoing plot and just enjoy the cross-caste sex, that's welcome too! There are engaging and differing opportunities for both sex and plot introduced each month.

Katniss Everdeen's spark has set the world of Panem on fire, and the Capitol has been scrambling to beat down the flames ever since. President Snow is presented with two options if he's not to lose everything: Crush the rebellions with force, or pacify their anger. And when you have been murdering people's children for almost 75 years, that is no small task.

However, the Hunger Games cannot just end. The Capitol expects them, thrives off them, and although Snow is willing to pacify the Districts, he won't be seen as weak. He refuses to let them to forget what is waiting for them if they ever make one misstep, and now, it will be on their minds every day.

Now they can pull Tributes from all worlds, all realities, and all times. Unlimited Tributes, and not a drop of Panem's blood will be shed to fuel the rebellion's power. And the Capitol's power, its force, can be broadcast all day, every day.

The city loves the constant excitement, but not everyone is so pleased about it! Now the Hunger Games never have to stop.

Smiling women are here to greet you, cheerfully handing you a journal and chirping encouragements to write to those you know. ABOUT US
❀ Kiseki is panfandom slice-of-life jamjar game set in the separate world of Miracle Country, a series of islands with all kinds of magical mishaps and circumstances. It seems a pleasant enough place, aside from some underlying creepiness (think Outo Country in Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle or cursed Storybrooke in Once Upon a Time).

❀ Kiseki is a CLAMP inspired (meaning series such as Card Captor Sakura, X/1999, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, and Magic Knight Rayearth – just to name a few), but no prior knowledge of the manga-ka is necessary to join – it’s great for both CLAMP enthusiasts and canon-blind appers.

❀ Kiseki has both game-wide events and player-run plots, with events tending to run on at least a monthly basis, ranging in themes from fluffy/shippy to more action/plot-heavy events. Events are also replayable, within reason, inviting more character-driven plotting. There’s a huge emphasis on building CR and interpersonal relationships between characters. (Check out here and here for examples of our events, both fluffier and more action-packed!)

❀ Kiseki is a small game (9 players and 35 characters) with a small and friendly player base, very backtag friendly and accommodating to all tagging-speeds; we have a bi-monthly AC of 35 comments total or one open post.

❀ Reserves are always open and last for one week, and the application itself is simple: no third person required!

❀ The game pace is overall medium-paced, sometimes faster during events and comments tend more towards comment-spam rather than prose.

❀ The game is comm-based and gameplay consists of both open logs and journal entries posted through magically-connected paper journals.

❀ We are on insanejournal which means all free accounts get 100 free icons; insanejournal is currently on invite-code only, so please feel free to poke me if you need a code – upon acceptance into the game, an invite code can be provided if you need it.

Welcome, Fellow Traveler! The elevator pitch: Exiles meets Diana Wynne Jones’ Homeward Bounders. If you’re familiar with Sliders or Quantum Leap, there’s a bit of that too.

Synodiporia is an AU-hopping panfandom exploration game where ‘event’ and ‘setting’ are one and the same. Unknown entities have gathered a group of people from across the multi-verse, and sent them on a long, strange journey together, crashing into one world after another, meddling in local affairs, and then whisking them off again. In each world some of the travelers are ‘investigators,’ conscious of the fact that they’re new arrivals in a foreign dimension, and some are ‘infiltrators,’ believing themselves to be natives, immersed in local customs, with implanted memories of a life that never was.

As the travelers progress from world to world, they learn new skills - from the natives or from one another. In prohibition-era Brooklyn, gangsters might teach someone how to shoot a tommy gun. In a fantasy kingdom, you might pick up a little wizardry. A PC from the Persona franchise might teach you how to unlock your own Persona, no matter what canon you’re from. You can also learn to manipulate the psychic network linking everyone together, gaining telepathic or dimensional manipulation abilities. As you change the worlds, the worlds change you.

We accept all original characters as well as alternate universe and previous game versions of characters, and under certain conditions, we also can accept multiple versions of the same character. When you apply, your character can be new to Traveling, or a veteran who’s been doing this for quite some time. More information about veteran Travelers can be found on the Previous Universes & Acquiring Skills pages, as well as suggestions for introing a veteran character here.

Besides that, there will be additional mini-events in pocket universes, player plots, dream explorations, Shadow Selves… and the ongoing investigation into the mysterious forces that drew you here. You’re pawns in a game spanning time and space, but a pawn who advances far enough can make big changes, and there are plenty of secrets to uncover.

Apps are open through the 31st, as is our 4th Wall event, and starting in the first week of April we’ll have our Digital Frontier plot, in which a world of sentient computer programs face terrifying viruses, reconstruct mysterious programs, and fight for freedom against a tyrannical system.

We have a cap of 100 characters, however we currently have about 70 characters, so we have plenty of room for new faces! We do not currently have reserves, but we highly recommend if you are interested in applying to post to the 4th Wall and get to know some of our current characters.

▶ route_29 is a panfandom, medium-paced game set in the wonderful world of Pokémon! Specifically, Route is set in the Gen IV, HeartGold/SoulSilver incarnations of Johto and Kanto, but with an available Pokédex up through Gen VI and plenty of exposure to elements of the other regions through mod-run events!

▶ No prior knowledge of Pokémon canon is necessary; we're very friendly to PokéExperts and complete newbies alike! As a predominantly slice-of-life game with regular mod-run events and plots, your Route experience can be as involved or as low-pressure as you make it; we've got a little something for everyone.

▶ We're also very open to player-run plots and villain-friendly — while participation in Team Rocket isn't mandatory for our more villainous characters, we're glad to put the ruthless organization's resources at their disposal when it comes to wreaking havoc on the nation!

▼ GAME BASICS

▶ Route is a journal-based game, but if the upkeep and maintenance of your journal's friends list is an issue, we keep the community's reading list updated for you so all you have to do is join the communities, the same as in any other game!

▶ We're medium-sized, with around 100 characters currently in play, and we run at a comfortable medium-slow pace: on average you're likely to see two to four new posts per day, but with natural fluctuations in speed — we run a little faster during events, and a little slower periodically. We're also very backtag-friendly!

▶ AC is quite manageable — just three proofs per month, which can be satisfied with any combination of posts, logs, or comment threads (totaling at least 10 comments, 5 from you and 5 from someone else).

▶ Our next app round is next weekend, with the app deadline on the 4th of April, midnight EST. If you're still not sure about Route, we currently have a GLORIOUS TEST DRIVE where you can mingle with our lovely player base and other app hopefuls! We hope to see you soon in the world of Pokémon!

You wake up, alone in the dark. There's a breathing tube jammed down your trachea, and you're suspended in a tube of clear blue fluid. Upon registering your level of consciousness, the gravity couch drains the fluid surrounding you and retracts the breathing apparatus; the doors in front of you open, and you're deposited on the floor of a stark, sterile, empty medical bay.

Don't worry. The disorientation usually wears off in less than thirty-six hours.

Ataraxion is a panfandom science-fiction/psychological horror RPG set in a universe not so different from our own. The game is primarily a character-driven jamjar, with an overarching plot that will conceal story elements from both the player base and the PCs. Characters will arrive in-game on the Titan-class colonization ship Tranquility, waking from grav couches located in the ship's medbay. The ship (mysteriously bereft of all original crew members, save two) is heading towards a way home—a deep-space jump point known only as Ataraxia. From there, according to the captain, characters will be able to return to their universes.

Over two years old, Ataraxion is a slow-paced game with a large plot every second month and a variety of minor monthly occurrences. Our monthly Activity Check is one post or one log or ten comments, and backtagging is welcomed and encouraged. We have characters from a variety of mediums, including television, film, books, webcomics, video games, comics, anime and manga. We love lone canon warriors and accept CR AUs and original characters.

About the Game:

Maison De Portes is a pan-fandom survival horror/mystery game. The potential for death and harm to come to your characters is almost guaranteed. The game is prose-only, with a very easy activity check. We have multiple story paths, with endings to be decided by the actions of the characters. The game is slow to mid paced, fairly small, with lots of chances for characters to work together to solve the situation they find themselves in. ten_fwd is a community-based jamjar with a twist game that takes place within the Star Trek: The Next Generation universe. There is an overarching plot that characters are invited to contribute toward: they have been ported to the Enterprise by Q, who has marooned your character in the far future with the TNG crew; however, you are also invited to make your own mischief, and most if not all game plots will be optional.

While the ultimate goal is at first to rein in Q, there's going to be plenty of room for slice-of-life shenanigans and missions to distant planets, with organized quarterly events. ten_fwd is backtagging friendly and runs at a medium-slow pace. Sunshineverse: A Panfandom Naruto AU

Sunshineverse Premise
sunshineverse isn't quite what that word would immediately imply. The word normally brings to mind fluffy kittens and warm summer days. While many things appear to be much brighter, happier, and dare say it, better, in places when compared to the dark, abyssal background of canon... that isn't entirely true.

Where there is sunshine, there are shadows, and let it not be forgotten that sunshine burns.

Drastic changes from Naruto canon seem to be good in theory: in Konoha, Uchiha Obito was saved by the Yondaime Hokage and lives on as Hokage of Konoha after his mentor's retirement. Because of this, the Kyuubi was never released on Konoha and the Uchiha never rebelled. They instead thrive within the village and continue to protect the peace. A peace that is so much further flung than simply Konoha at this point in the story. There is a solid, cooperative truce between the Five Great Nations, one which has been in place for years.

However, turmoil churns underneath, and five countries are not the entire world. The old regime, and all its problems, is not gone. In Suna, the Yondaime Kazekage was never murdered and still presides over Sunagakure. In Kiri, because the bloodline massacres never came to pass, Yagura has not been overthrown. And hidden away in Otogakure, Orochimaru thrives in full-health, having never had his arms nor powers sealed by Hiruzen.

Is it any surprise that these are a poor mix which is putting the whisper of bloodlust in the ears of those who felt they were deprived their fair share when the Kage nations decided to make peace? No, it's no surprise at all. It would just take a single last spark to set off the Fourth Great Shinobi War, a war which would surpass all others and engulf the entire world in a brutal, deadly fire.

For your character, this could mean a game of politics, battles, secretive missions, and deadly alliances, all leading to the cautious shaping of Sunshine's future. Only so long as these broiling undertones remain beneath the surface, unsparked, may daily life may go on as normal in the warming sunshine of this apparent peace.

Ninja characters will be in prime position to affect the pull of politics and war, while civilian characters are more likely to be successful at avoiding these intricacies if they so choose. Then again, civilians are the cause of many a mission, are they not? Wars have begun over less, and insults are sometimes far too easy to pay. Politics are confined to no one, if you so wish to involve yourself in them. The general world tension is part of the overarching mod plot, which the players are kept generally apprised of, but the player-characters will, through their choices and actions, determine the intensity of this plotted course.

Sunshineverse is panfandom that accepts both original characters and minor characters. The reason for this is simple. The changes to the history mean that there is a lot more room for characters, who would by all accounts be 'dead' in the canon Naruto universe, to exist. Even if they were never from this canon in the first place.

Every character that steps into this game, even Naruto characters, will undergo a back-story overhaul, as decided by their player, to fit the Alternate Timeline of this setting. So if you ever wanted to see what your character would be like if they were a ninja, a shopkeeper, or perhaps a nobleman in a Daimyo's house... well, here's your chance.

Sunshineverse Details
As the above summary probably showed, we are sort of a mixing pot of genres, but Adventure and Intrigue are probably the closest definitions you'll get, since we have everything from active combat missions, to huge shonen plot possibilities, and even slice of life on the table.

Any fandom can be applied for, and if there are any questions about how to convert character powers between fandoms, the mods are always happy to answer them. OCs can be created for the world, or converted to the world, just as any fandom character, no matter how minor, can be, and we'll treat them all equally.

The pace is currently about medium-slow, and we have a 1:1 day ratio... but in it will be up to our players if the speed picks up. We hope to see you there!

Carvaka is a sex game with a survival/adventure style and an ongoing metaplot. Characters are not transported to the setting, but wake up to familiar surroundings. Familiar, but decaying and ruined, as if no one has been around them in years. This is the true state of their home, and accepting or not, they're the only ones who can fix things.

Okay, no, that's not what happens. Life goes on, just as it always has, but you can't seem to get the internet to leave you alone. Maybe you don't even know what internet is! There's just this really strange duck perched on your computer screen, in your book, taking over your mirror, and it's accompanied by a magical internet community called Drama Drama Duck.

The name might be a little confusing, but it looks like there are other people on this website. Sometimes it'll start recording you unexpectedly, sometimes it will be there for you when you're having a tough time, sometimes it'll straight-up screw with you.

The Community, as it's known by its userbase, is a cross-universe blogging website that won't go away until your character uses it and interacts with other characters from other series (worlds). It looks like Dreamwidth and acts like Dreamwidth, but it's connected to the worlds of multiple canons and allows your characters to meet new people from other universes while still going through canon events. Avert unfortunate events, make your character's life better (or worse) by interacting with other characters, or even just have your character's life ruined by monthly events and viruses!

milliways_bar is a medium-fast paced, community-based, prose-based panfandom jamjar game, set within the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Universe. Characters are allowed to move freely from their world to the titular Bar At The End Of The Universe through doors - which on their side of the door might be anything from a porthole to a hole in the ground, and from there can either willingly move back and forth between worlds, stay upstairs at the Bar's inn or be "Bound" or trapped at Milliways without an escape hatch back for any length of time.

Welcome to the Warehouse.
The Agents of the Warehouse have been tasked with keeping the world safe from dangerous Artifacts. They travel the world, searching for these objects with mystical powers, and bring them back to the Warehouse for safe storage. Unfortunately, not everyone believes Artifacts should be tucked away and out of the hands of the general public. And some wish to take down the Warehouse altogether.

An Artifact has been broken in two – on accident or on purpose, the Agents haven’t yet figured out. What is clear is that when the Artifact was broken, it tore a hole in the barriers between this reality and all the other universes that exist.

In its broken state, this Artifact has started pulling people from their universes into this one. Innocent lives, ripped from their home, out of space and out of time, with no way back until the Agents find the missing half of the Artifact and make it whole again.

Worse, it seems someone is bent on making not only the Agents’ lives difficult, but the lives of all these people now in the Agents’ care as well. The Agents are scrambling to find the broken part of the Artifact and fix the tear between universes. They are doing all that they can, but it might not be enough.

To all those the Artifact has pulled to this universe, let us just say: Welcome to the Warehouse.

Brief Description of your game: X-PROJECT is an X-Men Roleplaying Community on Livejournal inspired by the Marvel Movieverses. Combining the X-Men movieverses with the other existing Marvel properties, we use a combination of in-character journals and email/IM logs. There's a number of settings for a range of play, whatever your preference, and the slate has been wiped clean on all of our available and retired characters.

DANGAN RONPA wanted at THE BASTION

Hello!! We have a teeny Dangan Ronpa cast at thebastion right now consisting of Aoi (from late chapter 2) and Naegi (from chapter 3), as well as Ibuki from SDR2 (early chapter 3), with a Togami and a Hinata on reserve, and we are all super interested in having more characters from both games or any of the spin-offs in the cast!

The Bastion is based off the video game Bastion but being familiar with the game isn't a necessity at all. The idea is that an apocalyptic event called the Calamity destroyed everyone's homeworlds and characters find their way to the Bastion, a floating island save haven-type deal.

The game's is pretty small and tends to be on the slower side of things, but the pace picks up a lot during events! It's very plot-based with a lot of room for player influence, both in the way plot stuff goes (character choices mean a lot for how events end up going and the mods have been making all kinds of adjustments on their own plans based on player character actions!) and in worldbuilding ways of any scale (Aoi, as an example, used her in-game currency to populate the Bastion with trees that grow donuts; other characters have made more serious changes).

In between events, which have a lot of variety to them—there are dangerous core hunts that involve fighting monsters but just as frequently mean having to come up with clever strategic solutions to keep everyone alive, but there have been diplomatic dealings with other groups of survivors requiring characters better at speaking than punching things—there's a lot of opportunity for slice of life stuff, or you can have your character keep doing dangerous things out on the Skyway; there's a lot of room to make what you want out of things! Powers aren't disabled which obviously isn't really relevant to the Dangans but the Dangans can obtain powers using in-game currency, which Aoi has heaps of because she's been in-game so long so if whoever you app wants to shoot fireballs or whatever she will do them that solid.

Apps are closing at the end of April, but endgame isn't happening until several months after that—there's no set date but the mods scheduled apps closing with the goal of making sure everyone who apped in late would have plenty of time to build CR and get stuff done, so please don't feel put off by that!

Any Dangans at all would be super adored, but in particular I put in my vote for having DR1 characters who died during chapter one or two, Naegi's player wants a Kyouko Kirigiri, and Ibuki's player would be pleased as punch to have any of her classmates!

Apps are processed biweekly and the next processing date is the 11th of April!
