So, if you'd be interested there's a spirited away based game called Forest Covered. they're even having a Shadow/Dark Side event coming up in December, and there's always multiple tasks and mingle logs going on every month. I think the only Persona cast members are from 3, plus Yukari from 4 Arena, but it could be an interesting experience for Naoto if you're interested.

Hi there!

thelegion is a brand spanking new sci fi, panfandom superhero RP, that will be opening test drive the second week of December, reserves on 12/19, and apps on 12/26. In the game, mysterious forces are bringing people into the universe of the Legion of Superheroes and giving them powers or the powers they have are being altered. Because most of the Legion was devastated in a battle theyear before, they need help. The characters are being offered a chance to become Legionnaires to help bring order back to the galaxy and find out what brought them there so they can go home.

If you don't want Leo to have powers, his ninjas skills are more than enough for him to hold his own in the game universe without powers.

- We don't know pace as the game hasn't started but with a 30 player cap and it being a prose game we don't expect it to be super fast
- There may be some slice of life with people hanging around Legion World or visiting UP member worlds, but there's definitely a heavy over-arching plot and player plots/missions are welcome
- No humanization! It's a very diverse universe so aliens and mutants and all that get to stay in their current forms and no one will bat an eyelash.

We do have a nice little gaggle of players ready to app but I don't think the player cap will fill all that fast, so I hope you consider this as another option!

Also: aaaaaaah IDW Leo, aaaaah. I play Raph from the 2012 cartoon in psl. Yessss, all the turtles.

melodiesoflife has the easiest AC of any game I've seen that isn't only checking in, honestly; so a lot of the playerbase has multiple characters. This is, if you don't mind having to put their powers into Final Fantasy flavor (canon abilities can be regained soon, tho), and giving them a Moogle to listen to their needs.

You can focus on life things for a few weeks, and it still wouldn't be too much to fall behind / too hard to catch up--but that's not to say it isn't eventful, it's just mostly people are usually willing to backtag into forever. O/

I'M A BIT LATE but if you're still looking I would love to have a Papyrus around at snowblindrpg. I play Frisk there post-pacifist. It fits all of your requirements I think (the pace jumps around a bit and is slower right now but I've been consistently having things to do all of the month I've been there so far, so), but at the same time I know the genre doesn't appeal to everyone so if it's not what you're looking for that's fine.

For slow-medium with a plot and fantasy that allows OC's, there's melodiesoflife which I'm in, that has player actions changing the course of the plot and their activities unlocking things that the mods have said they wouldn't have revealed otherwise. It's neither too grim nor too lighthearted, so it strikes a nice balance for being able to do both, imo. I haven't felt the claim of "actions mattering" as much as in this game, even with (or maybe because of?) its smallish size.

While it removes character powers to get them accustomed to new ones, home powers will be regainable by the next app cycle. I've been considering Peridot for the unforeseeable future, and Marceline is cool too! Native AU-ing canon characters or OC's is also possible, but I believe it requires having already been in the game for a few months.

HI! This is going to seem super weird of me, but: one of my friends, who is ridiculously shy, saw your ad and wants desperately for you to come to tushanshu, so I volunteered to try and lure you. XD

Hi there, have you considered tushanshu?

We're a smaller game on DW, mostly focused between slice of life and political plotting with a tiny dash of horror mixed in, and we're very easygoing if you're looking to get back into things. AC is easy with chances to gain IC rewards the more threads/tags you've done. Everyone is very friendly and willing to backtag.

And there are skeletons on the Test Drive meme at the moment. And Skulduggery Pleasant (aka the Skeleton Detective) is one of the longer residents of the game.
