If you wouldn't mind AUing your characters into a modern-day setting, you could check out undergrounds! I'd love to see Merlin there and from what I know of Sebastian, he'd fit in really well too. We're a fantasy game set in a version of modern-day London that is also inhabited by various supernatural creatures (witches, vampires, fae, etc). I wouldn't describe it as an exploration-based game though, the plot is more about the politics of the various supernatural factions and the conflicts between them.
