Hmm. I'm not familiar with the game, but I'll give it a look over!

How often to events happen? Once a month, or?

There's been an event just about every month I've been in the game -- usually two, with the event at the start of the month being more of a mini-event to tide us over until the intro log happens. The story is that the gods are trying to incite emotions from the people in the city because they sort of feed on them, and they're trying to use that power to resurrect more gods, so each event is generally tied to one of the gods (currently Hope, Fear, Rage, and Delight).

Just this month, we had a bunch of fireflies come into town that made people happy when they got near -- and happy to the point of intoxication of there were to many of them. Then was the intro log, which brought more fireflies into the city, but these were of the exploding variety. And currently, we have a dreamwalking event going on where dreams can be influenced by one of the four gods, so folks are having lots of fun being forced to visit dreams. We've also had assassin-based events where people were pushed to murder folks, an event where people turned into wendigos, one where half the city was buried alive, a party that lasted for days on end -- there's a wide spectrum, so if one thing isn't up your alley, the next thing might be, and you can always opt out if you're really not feeling something.
