It might be a bit more player-directed in the events department than you want, but maybe look at Tu Shanshu? It's a world-building focused game set in a fantasy city on the back of a giant turtle. We also have a Peridot and an OC gem that I know are looking for castmates.

Here's the ad. At the very least, you can poke around the test drive as a place to practice.

I know I'm always on the lookout for more SU characters in sol_raveh! It's a pretty small game with an overarching plot (typically including a monthly mod event of some kind, with a lot of chances for character-driven plotting). The current long-term character goal is essentially to clear the castle of shadow monsters by exploring areas and solving the puzzles in them.

We've got an active test drive going right now if you're interested in tossing Pearl at it to see how it fits! (and i'd be happy to provide your invite if you think it meshes well! steven would love to see one of the mom squad.)

I just recently started playing Steven here at empatheias and I've been having a lot of fun with him there! I'm still settling into the game, but it seems to be medium-sized and it has both serious elements and a monthly events with a lot of plotting potential! It's a game where characters' emotions can effect the environment as well as the flow of events! In terms of castmates, I only have Steven here to offer (and it looks like we have a Killua if you want to go the Hunter x Hunter route!).

Helloooo! Have you seen/considered us over at cosmographia yet? We're a smallish game based on the Steven Universe lore, where characters brought into the setting become Gems and must deal with new powers and being brought and stranded in a new world. There's some elements of power loss (as characters come into the game with just basic gem powers of weapon summoning, shapeshifting, bubbling and fusing as well as one unique power) but part of the game is seeing your character grow and slowly gain new powers!

We have a small SU cast of Steven, Amethyst and Connie and I know all of them would be super excited to have a Pearl!

Well, I was going to recommend empathieas, but it looks like someone beat me to it!

I currently play Killua there, so the castmate quota is filled. It looks like we have a propspective Alluka in the TDM too. It's probably more on the medium+ size, but having just joined there, everyone seems SUPER friendly and it's very easy to get tags from people! Which is always a plus.

There's also lots of stuff to do. I can't comment much on overarching plot stuff since I just joined this month, but it seems very promising.

Hopefully! The next app round is coming up soon, so we'll see it.

There's a mission system which I find a lot of fun...to give you ideas for logs and stuff for your character to do. Killua likes the ones that give him free candy most, of course.

I can't offer any canonmates but if a supernatural-themed game strikes your fancy, undergrounds is a small AU game centred around supernatural politics with monthly events and plots that are spearheaded by players. I don't know if AU would be a deal-breaker for you, but if not feel free to check out our game ad!

thewake Has an over-arching megaplot from time to time. Otherwise there are monthly events. Pearl would be able to gain her abilities back and there is an awesome Connie player there as well who would love to have Pearl there :3
