You open your eyes and see you’re in a giant winged egg-like building, in a world completely different from your own home. Smiling women are here to greet you, cheerfully handing you a journal and chirping encouragements to write to those you know. From the doorway, you can smell the sea, hear the wind in the trees, see the long road sprawling out to meet a little city before you. It’s almost peaceful, even though when you try to step out, you’re blocked from leaving by a powerful force. Outside, the world seems bright and warm, and the voices behind you are cheerful. But still, you cannot leave.

Kiseki is a journal-based, slice-of-life jamjar game, with a small and friendly playerbase! We have 9 players and 33 characters, currently, and always hoping for more. The setting is light-hearted with occasional underlying creepiness (think Outo Country in Tsubasa), and we have player-run plots and game-wide events regularly.
We are a CLAMP-only game, great for minor, underappreciated CLAMP series and characters as well as the popular ones!
Reserves are always open and last for a week. The application itself is simple (no third person!). Game pace can be fast for a small game (during events, usually) but overall is slow to medium-paced. Comments are usually comment-spam, everyone is very backtag friendly, and our bi-monthly AC is low-pressure.
Additionally, we are on Insanejournal, which means 100 free icons! (I’m happy to make icon sets for anyone interested, or to provide HQ scans and raws.)

You awake in utter darkness, disoriented and confused, feeling nothing but the rocking of the small ferry in which you find yourself. You blink, trying to remember how you've gotten here, why you're on this craft, what's even going on? Slowly, you see lights off in the distance. As you begin to approach a nearing shore, you can make out the man, no the creature, piloting the ferry. He's hidden beneath a black robe and a deep cowl that shows nothing, at least not until he's stopped the boat. As the strange craft glides to a silent stop, a bony hand extends from beneath the folds of the robes, pointing towards the docks, and then a voice enters your mind:
This is your stop. Take the tablet, contact others, welcome to Tartarus.
May the gods grant you mercy.

There's pain and blood seeping from a wound you hadn't noticed, a wound in a shape that may be all too familiar to you. Where did it come from? Why is it there? None of the answers are appparent and the cowled man is gone. He did leave you that strange tablet, though. Maybe the others he mentioned would know more, and maybe they can offer some aid...
The Tartarus Experiment is a Panfandom, Community-based RP on Dreamwidth. Your character has been marked, either with symbols or letters, representing sins for which the goddess Themis has found them guilty. There are heavy elements of horror, torture (both physical and psychological), as well as a few lighter events interspersed throughout. Some More Heroes/Heroes' Paradise is a small, slow-to-medium paced role play based on world of No More Heroes and No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle, where characters must fill in as the ranked assassins of the UAA. OUTSIDERS | a panfandom game based on Mass Effect's Omega
In the midst of the Reaper War, Aria T’Loak has reclaimed her throne at the top of Omega’s power struggle. But no sooner had Cerberus gone that a much worse fate befell the station -- the Omega Relay is irreparably damaged, cutting off the entire nebula from the rest of the galaxy. No one knows why, or what caused the damage in the first place, but the song remains the same. The station is now in complete seclusion.
And in the ensuing chaos, mysterious automated ships bound for Omega emerge from the Omega-4 Relay, each bearing a crew that appears to be from entirely different universes. None of them know how they’ve arrived, but one thing’s for certain: it’s a one-way trip.
Stuck on Omega with nowhere to go but up, each one of them will have to find their own way to survive. They can do as they please, just so long as they remember Omega’s one rule:

Outsiders is a sci-fi panfandom game with an overarching plot set on Mass Effect’s Omega station following the events of ME3’s Omega DLC. Characters must choose what they plan to do with their stay - whether it be to join up with a group of mercs, start up a shop selling stolen goods, or enter the tangled world of information brokerage. The point is, make yourself useful, or Aria just might decide that she won't be so gracious to newcomers in the future. And those who do prove their worth just might find themselves embroiled in a plot that could change the station forever.

Cape Kore
A survival/mystery/horror adventure!
Your character wakes up in a small, strange little town on a cape. There are empty, broken docks, a lighthouse and only one road out that leads to a downed bridge. Some of the homes are lived in, others are abandoned. There is a communicator attached to your character's wrist. The communicators are the only programmable technology your character will find other than the untouchable cameras. Even the clocks are all analog. Everything in the town is old or low-tech. Kitchen appliances and washers have turn-dials, the televisions could easily be from the 80s and there isn't anything even remotely like a computer in sight.
There are cameras everywhere filming your character's every move and the scientists are watching, but they've still given no clue as to who they are or how they are constantly repairing their cameras. No one is even sure why or how anyone is here and the food is running low. The only thing anyone knows for sure is that they can't leave and new people and things arrive all the time.

Cape Kore is a small, relatively slow-paced game (3:1 OOC:IC ratio) with an easy AC. There is an emphasis on survival with both horror and mystery elements in some plots and events. The game has a slow-moving plot that can and will be affected by the action or inaction of the characters, as well as more isolated mod-run and player-run plots and events and room for slice-of-life.
Due to the concept and nature of the game, all characters and players must be at least 18. Aging up of under-aged characters will be approved on a case-by-case basis.
We would love to see any currently-not-taken characters in addition to the specific ones that players have requested below.

The Bastion - a fantasy/steampunk panfandom game
Designed by talented mechanics, the Bastion was meant to be both a sanctuary and a defense mechanism at once. Should the world ever fall into war, the Bastion could be activated, giving refugees a save place to flee to. The Bastion was meant to be self-monitoring, and could take care of all the needs of its population without any interference.
However, nobody expected the Calamity. Millions perished in the blink of an eye, and the world itself was torn to shreds. All that remains is the Skyway, a collection of floating lands that occupy the space once inhabited by an entire world. The Calamity was so terrible that the Bastion itself was damaged, and it lacks the power necessary to repair itself.
In order to repair the Bastion, characters will have to search for Cores on the Skyway. They provide the power necessary for the Bastion to repair itself, and each Core brings the Bastion one step closer to being 100% operational. Until then, everyone who survived the Calamity will have to work together to survive and keep the monsters of the Skyway out of the Bastion, lest the last sanctuary of mankind fall to the horrors that lurk outside its borders.
The Bastion is a panfandom, plot-heavy game set in the world of Bastion with a focus on the consequences of choices made by the characters within the game. Characters will be able to shape the setting as they see fit, and ultimately it is up to them to repair the Bastion and make a new home for all living creatures. You do not have to have played Bastion to app into this game.

Revenance is a panfandom game based on Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance. While it’d be nice to have some knowledge of Kingdom Hearts, you definitely don’t need it in order to play. This mysterious force has reshaped the world, bringing in an vast number of misplaced individuals. Balamb Garden opened its doors to them, offering to train them as the elite mercenaries known as SeeD, but no one can get them home again...
Until now. A mysterious Time Compression Mage claims to have control over the force, enough that in the proper time and place he can control the portal and send everyone home. The SeeD Commander, though, will not help or aid him, will not even trust him. And the offworld army of Sol Invictus claims that his actions will destroy the world they stand on...

Witches Reign is a panfandom, community-based, OC-friendly RP that takes place in the unnamed world of Final Fantasy VIII, twenty-two years after the events of the game. One part school setting, one part political/war drama and one part slice-of-life, we have something for everyone:
OCTACORE
OROCHI was a powerful demon who escaped from his prison in the mystic realm, where he was serving an eternal sentence for his crimes against humanity. He created this world by melding together pieces of the natural world, in order to wage war upon the mightiest of humanity's warriors. He was defeated, but his armies still remain, scores uncounted of snake-demon warriors led by the mystic Taira no Kiyomori. Kiyomori has been attempting to resurrect his lord, and the Resistance has formed in order to stop him.
Should you choose to accept the task that has been forced upon you, you can join the RESISTANCE in their fight against the evil powers, or you can become one of those EVIL POWERS.
Which path will you choose?
Octacore is a multi-fandom RP set in the world of Warriors Orochi but incorporating a piece of every fandom world apped into it. Players will have a direct impact on the design of the world itself, as well as quests and plots, and powers and magical items can be earned through our barter system! Apps and reserves are OPEN - we have no closed app periods at this time. Reserve holders get first priority in the event of an app challenge, and reserves hold for a week at a time.
We are still fairly new, and small, with a slow pace and easy AC (one proof per month). One does not need to be familiar with Warriors Orochi or the Koei Warriors series canon to play! Powers are kept, and currently CR AUs are accepted with plans to allow OCs in the future.

Either way, you're definitely dead and that means a couple of things.
One: You can't die again, since you're already dead.
Two: If you just sit around and live like a normal person, you'll disappear.
Three: You might be missing some memories. Don't worry, it's natural after you die sometimes.
So knowing that kind of stuff, what are you going to do? Are you going to fight? Are you going to try to get erased as soon as you can? It's up to you. Whatever you choose, it won't change the fact that the one life you had is over now and this is your last chance to make up for it.

Maybe evil monsters are watching you, waiting to attack. And maybe that phobia is a deep-seated fear associated with your godly parentage.

Outer Divide is a panfandom sci-fi open world game. We accept characters from all mediums, as well as AUs, Fandom OCs, and Original Characters.
After new arrivals awaken in the ship they are free to explore the entire planet of Verdana. The only places they'll have difficulty entering are the Plagued Lands, and the remaining domed cities. The Outer Inhabitants are still rebuilding, and aside from the quarantine line, most of the technologies remaining resemble those of 20th and 21st century Earth.
Much of the world has become overgrown and filled with wildlife. The majority of the animals are similar to those found on Earth, including many extinct or mythical creatures. It's not unheard of to cross paths with a dinosaur in the wilderness.

That's right. You have just woken in a new world and there's no way of knowing how to get home. Or if there was ever a home for you to come from, your memories might have been played with by the Dai Li. And they're not talking. You must've had some nasty dreams. That's the story you'll hear if asked. You had powers before? Sorry, but they're gone. You might be lucky enough to have received the ability to use one of four elements, Earth, Fire, Water, and Air. However you'll be lucky if you find a teacher. And that's if you figure out which element has chosen you. You might hear of a little old legend about an avatar who can use all four. No one knows who the new one is yet, not even which nation they'll be born into. Something went wrong the last cycle and it's all messed up. Is it you? Also, keep an eye on the moon. It's been acting a bit strangely in recent time.

Nothing. It seems like forever, then suddenly, there is light. All around you stand the buildings of a futuristic paradise. It echoes emptily, yet water flows and electricity hums. By your side stands a strange doctor explaining already even though you've just woken up, and offering what people of the modern day will note is similar to a smart phone. Ringing quite impatiently, a voice waits on the other side: "You've arrived. Welcome to our game..."
The multi-verse stands just as surely as people imagine it. Its inhabitants are beings so beyond our mortal scope and ability to behold that they are simply known as gods. We give them a great many names, and imagine them in a great many ways. The only thing everyone can agree on, for the most part, is that they exist. They are our creators, our caretakers, and most prominently, our game masters. We exist for their amusement, and have, from time to time, played parts in a great many of their games. As it stands, three gods that preside over one particular floor of the multi-verse have invited the others for a game of amusement, laying the ultimate trap by invoking the other gods' pride when their game had been declined: "It's perfectly understandable if you think our creations can best yours."
So now you are a pawn in a game. The game is oft spoken of, but never mentioned in detail. Reminders lay everywhere, and for those few that think their gods have abandoned them and left them to their own fate, there are reminders they are everywhere as well. Plots to overthrow these three would-be game masters are in the works with traps having been carefully lain, and all that needs added is the final ingredient: pawns.

SORTING HAT a Panfandom Harry Potter AU
Sortinghat_RP is a slow paced Panfandom AU RP set the year following baby Harry’s defeat of Lord Voldemort, though with a slightly alternate timeline so that things are present day. At Sortinghat, we accept and encourage a wide array of characters of any canon, no matter how little canon they might have. We accept headcanons and encourage you to use it to pull off a realistic, well rounded character using it. We also accept Original Characters as well. As a current in-game example, we have a Keith from Left 4 Dead 2, the daredevil Ellis is always telling stories about. He has very little canon, though we consider him and lots of characters like him (IE, silent protagonists, background characters, etc) to be Canon OCs, and thus perfectly capable of being apped.
We are primarily a slice of life game, focusing on the lives of students and teachers in their day to day activities. Characters communicate through magical journals, using text or audio functions. Events range from crack to serious in nature, examples being pairs of students having to take care of snake eggs, to a canon bodies event where everyone reverted to their canon forms, either mentally or physically. You can sign your characters up for the Quidditch teams, as well as apply for them to become a Prefect if it suits them! There are plenty of factors in the Harry Potter universe to play around with!
With Summer coming up, there’s plenty of opportunities for the setting to expand, so your characters can leave school and get up to things outside of the castle, mostly without restriction as long as they don’t perform under age magic! It’s a good opportunity to get acquainted with the setting!

Rumors have a way of circulating around long enough to where they become a permanent part of a world's culture.
We call this phenomenon a legend.
One such legend exists in the heart of the vast country of Vernesse. In the former capital, Goldvale, lies a castle that once housed the king a long time ago. The castle was once full of light and joy, but history never told of what transpired within its walls as it grew darker and colder.
Centuries pass, and so do the stories from generation to generation.
Legend tells of an arcane god who rests in the mansion's top floor, waiting for the bravest of travelers. They say this god has the power to grant any wish... Could this god have some connection to Goldvale's strange new guests?
Dyspros is a panfandom game with an emphasis on exploration taking place in its own world inspired by classic JRPGs, MMORPGs, and high fantasy fiction. Thrown into the world of Reis Alureila, characters will awaken in the illustrious Castle Dyspros in the middle of the city, in front of a set of ornate double doors. These doors lead farther into the castle, while the doors behind them lead to the city they will be spending most of their time in: Goldvale. Characters will be invited to join Goldvale's guilds—organized groups of people from similar trades and professions—and will have the option to explore Goldvale's mysterious castle. Character interaction will take place within Goldvale, as well as the surrounding world. The overarching plot includes elements of adventure, political intrigue, as well as fun and complex NPCs. Needless to say, a character's stay in Goldvale will be an eventful one.
Will they find what they are looking for atop Dyspros Castle? Will their wish be granted? Will they really be able to go home? Only time will tell.

About the Game
SRW UG@ is a multi-fandom, OC-friendly plot based RP based on the Super Robot Wars series of video games. If you want to play a character from a mecha canon, keep your mech, memories and plot, and get to team up with others to fight your villains and theirs - this might be the game for you!
The game is community-based with AIM-based missions on average twice a week for combat-heavy plot events. The plot is a combination of the plots of the component canons in a semi-post-apocalyptic setting, with an overarching conflict affecting the entire setting each season. Not only mecha pilots (Japanese and Western) but power armor users, transforming heroes, and more are welcome - including noncombatants!

It is a society built on old traditions and esoteric rules. Here Kings and Queens still reign over their Suits and everyone has an agenda. Where Spades look over their shoulders, Hearts play coy, Diamonds glimmer like ice, and Clubs worry that the death of one king is but the beginning. This is The Deck.
Laying the cards on the table...
But you want to know the details, right?
Basically, House of Cards is an OC-only game set in a location just a little to the side of the real world, though characters are welcome to come and go as they please (more or less). The world (and the society within it) are typically just referred to as "the Deck" and things are organized within four Suits: Clubs, Diamonds, Hearts, and Spades. There're also a few Jokers running around but they're kind of an entity unto themselves and hold no allegiance to any particular Suit.
Within each Suit, things are organized much as you might expect. At the head are the four Face Cards: Kings and Queens rule equally, Jacks and Aces serve at their behest. And below that are ranks 10 down to 2. About the only way to get ahead in the Deck is to Challenge those above you for their rank, for those with ambition, anyway. Challenges may take almost any form from the intellectual and artistic to the martial and violent.
Game pace several posts going up every week in slower times to a couple of posts a day when things are really ticking along. Players are not expected to keep up with every thread and we try to keep people advised of things that would affect characters game-wide.
Activity check consists of a minimum of three threads each calendar month.

One card short of a deck...
We've got quite a few wanted character types but in particular at the moment:
Queen of Clubs - the clubs have been without a Queen since the previous one mysteriously disappeared early in the year. Currently, we are planning on the King of Clubs choosing an NPC 10 to fill the space until a PC can be found to do so. Anyone who apps for this spot may choose to fill in the details on the NPC if they wish (we're only giving her a name) or they can create their own character and writer her as either Challenging the NPC for the position or being chosen for it, whatever seems to work best. Any questions there can be directed to
