Forest Covered is a panfandom slice of life RPG taking a loose base from world mythologies, folklores, and the body of work of Studio Ghibli; particularly Spirited Away.
Existing on another plane of reality are many hundreds of cities catering to the unseen world of spirits. These cities are vast and strange, in many ways familiar, but inhabited mostly by creatures from folklore and myth. Most of them do not actually live in the cities for long, instead passing through them on their way to new places in the human world to call home, or just visiting for a vacation. In fact, the cities are quickly evolving into massive tourist spots, and spirits are just eating it up! Sometimes literally.
Of course, the problem with rapid expansion is the need for more labour. Lesser spirits are numerous, but projecting the image of an exotic getaway calls for something new. That's where you come in.
You aren't the first and you won't be the last taken from outside the spirit realm and put to work here, in the growing city of Koriko. Don't worry, though; the witch that runs the island picked you because you have a debt to pay. Just by working here, she'll absolve your debt and grant you a little favour in return. Just sign your name away and you'll be put to work serving the vacationing spirits.
Oh, you want to know how long it will take to pay off your debt? Well, that's up to you isn't it? You read the fine print...

In the light of a reborn world...
In the wake of Malicant's defeat, the kedan have taken back both their identities and the city of Keeliai in the merged Dreaming and Life Planes. The battle was not without its cost, and many of the former leading figures were lost: the Alderwood Emperor Evandau, the merchant Lieuen, and the magician Evastelei, who sacrificed herself to retrieve the Foreigners from the Dreaming before they were lost for good. The hatchling turtles, the last offspring of their cosmic race, were forced to abandon their home and return to the seas of Konryu, and their exact whereabouts are unknown.
The old guard has fallen, paving the way for a new era.
Three major family factions -- the mafia-like Snakes, the reclusive Woodsmen, and the industrious Metalworkers -- have risen into power while the Foreigners were absent. They now dominate the city with a power struggle that has spawned new allegiances, new technology, and new threats to be faced. Meanwhile, the other nations of Konryu, no longer united by the threat of Malicant, have turned their eyes to Tu Vishan, looking to take its prominence and resources for themselves.
The Foreigners who remain on Tu Vishan, and those who now find themselves arriving through tears in the fabric of the realms, must forge a new path for themselves in a world who does not believe it needs them any longer. How will they choose to be involved in the rebuilding of Keeliai? Will some take this opportunity to make a niche for themselves in the complicated political arena, or in the secretive black market? Will they discover the fate of Asti, who Malicant claimed to have destroyed centuries ago?

In times past, it is said humanity was great. Rulers of the land and seas and skies, we bound the very gods to our service and our people flourished. But the gods did not appreciate such arrogance. Scattering our people and striking down our cities, humanity almost ended in those dark times. But for a single point of light - a savior who quelled the wrath of the gods and brought us peace, and the hope for survival.
Now I hear the drumbeats of war once again. The thunder of gunshots and the pain of human and Pokémon alike. We were given but one chance. We must show we will not repeat the mistakes of our past.
Brave New World is a community-based AU Pokémon game focused around exploration, discovery, and plot. In the distant past, the Legendary Pokémon lead armies to destroy the human civilization that had long enslaved them. Now, 500 years later, the remaining human civilizations are once again connecting, although not always on friendly terms. The players take on the role of citizens of the city of Union, and their objective is to once again expand the knowledge and civilization of the human race while avoiding the sins of the past.
A slow-to-medium paced game with an over-arching plot, events take place roughly every month. In addition to this, we encourage players to suggest and run player plots, as well as help influence the world that their characters inhabit.

You open your eyes and see you’re in a giant winged egg-like building, in a world completely different from your own home. Smiling women are here to greet you, cheerfully handing you a journal and chirping encouragements to write to those you know. From the doorway, you can smell the sea, hear the wind in the trees, see the long road sprawling out to meet a little city before you. It’s almost peaceful, even though when you try to step out, you’re blocked from leaving by a powerful force. Outside, the world seems bright and warm, and the voices behind you are cheerful. But still, you cannot leave.

❀ Kiseki is panfandom slice-of-life jamjar game set in the separate world of Miracle Country, a series of islands with all kinds of magical mishaps and circumstances. It seems a pleasant enough place, aside from some underlying creepiness (think Outo Country in Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle or cursed Storybrooke in Once Upon a Time).
❀ Kiseki is a CLAMP inspired (meaning series such as Card Captor Sakura, X/1999, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, and Magic Knight Rayearth – just to name a few), but no prior knowledge of the manga-ka is necessary to join – it’s great for both CLAMP enthusiasts and canon-blind appers.
❀ Kiseki has both game-wide events and player-run plots, with events tending to run on at least a monthly basis, ranging in themes from fluffy/shippy to more action/plot-heavy events. Events are also replayable, within reason, inviting more character-driven plotting. (Check out here and here for examples of our events, both fluffier and more action-packed!)
❀ Kiseki is a small game (12 players and 39 characters) with a small and friendly player base, very backtag friendly and accommodating to all tagging-speeds; we have a bi-monthly AC of 35 comments total or one open post.
❀ Reserves are always open and last for one week, and the application itself is simple: no third person required!
❀ The game pace is overall medium-paced, sometimes faster during events and comments tend more towards comment-spam rather than prose.
❀ The game is comm-based and gameplay consists of both open logs and journal entries posted through magically-connected paper journals.
❀ We are on insanejournal which means all free accounts get 100 free icons; insanejournal is currently on invite-code only, so please feel free to poke me if you need a code.

Sunshineverse: A Panfandom Naruto AU
Where there is sunshine, there are shadows, and let it not be forgotten that sunshine burns.
Drastic changes from Naruto canon seem to be good in theory: in Konoha, Uchiha Obito was saved by the Yondaime Hokage and lives on as Hokage of Konoha after his mentor's retirement. Because of this, the Kyuubi was never released on Konoha and the Uchiha never rebelled. They instead thrive within the village and continue to protect the peace. A peace that is so much further flung than simply Konoha at this point in the story. There is a solid, cooperative truce between the Five Great Nations, one which has been in place for years.
However, turmoil churns underneath, and five countries are not the entire world. The old regime, and all its problems, is not gone. In Suna, the Yondaime Kazekage was never murdered and still presides over Sunagakure. In Kiri, because the bloodline massacres never came to pass, Yagura has not been overthrown. And hidden away in Otogakure, Orochimaru thrives in full-health, having never had his arms nor powers sealed by Hiruzen.
Is it any surprise that these are a poor mix which is putting the whisper of bloodlust in the ears of those who felt they were deprived their fair share when the Kage nations decided to make peace? No, it's no surprise at all. It would just take a single last spark to set off the Fourth Great Shinobi War, a war which would surpass all others and engulf the entire world in a brutal, deadly fire.

For your character, this could mean a game of politics, battles, secretive missions, and deadly alliances, all leading to the cautious shaping of Sunshine's future. Only so long as these broiling undertones remain beneath the surface, unsparked, may daily life may go on as normal in the warming sunshine of this apparent peace.
Ninja characters will be in prime position to affect the pull of politics and war, while civilian characters are more likely to be successful at avoiding these intricacies if they so choose. Then again, civilians are the cause of many a mission, are they not? Wars have begun over less, and insults are sometimes far too easy to pay. Politics are confined to no one, if you so wish to involve yourself in them. The general world tension is part of the overarching mod plot, which the players are kept generally apprised of, but the player-characters will, through their choices and actions, determine the intensity of this plotted course.
Sunshineverse is panfandom that accepts both original characters and minor characters. The reason for this is simple. The changes to the history mean that there is a lot more room for characters, who would by all accounts be 'dead' in the canon Naruto universe, to exist. Even if they were never from this canon in the first place.
Every character that steps into this game, even Naruto characters, will undergo a back-story overhaul, as decided by their player, to fit the Alternate Timeline of this setting. So if you ever wanted to see what your character would be like if they were a ninja, a shopkeeper, or perhaps a nobleman in a Daimyo's house... well, here's your chance.
As the above summary probably showed, we are sort of a mixing pot of genres, but Adventure and Intrigue are probably the closest definitions you'll get, since we have everything from active combat missions, to huge shonen plot possibilities, and even slice of life on the table.
Any fandom can be applied for, and if there are any questions about how to convert character powers between fandoms, the mods are always happy to answer them. OCs can be created for the world, or converted to the world, just as any fandom character, no matter how minor, can be, and we'll treat them all equally.
The pace is currently about medium-slow, and we have a 1:1 day ratio... but in it will be up to our players if the speed picks up. We hope to see you there!

My Little Jamjar is a medium-paced pan-canon roleplay set in the universe of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic! Characters will find themselves as ponies (or even, perhaps, other native Equestrian species on occasion...), now living in the town of Ponyville. Will they befriend the natives? Get comfortable and stay awhile? Or decide to just focus on solving the dark mysteries that have arisen related to the universe-absorbing creature known as Calice? MLJ is best described as a mostly SoL game with a more serious over-arching modplot and varied player plots.

Characters will encounter the child god, Zephyr, face-to-face, help them learn, grow, and shape them into a full-fledged god. Zephyr has a name and a form, but they still have much left to figure out about themselves with the help of the characters they bring in. There are also several other gods who occasionally look in on the Meadous and have a tendency to meddle.
Mod-run events occur roughly once a month and range from silly (e.g., a kite flying festival) to serious and dangerous (e.g., gods tampering with the negative emotions of characters).
Will your character come to accept the Meadous as their new home? Or perhaps try to find some means of escape? Or maybe they'll take advantage of the wishing pond. Zephyr can grant many desires, healing characters from their previous games, restoring magic and items, and much more.

Monad.exe is a panfandom technological/psychological horror RP inspired by the Master Reboot video game. This is a character-driven platform where your character will be introduced into a rapidly deteriorating environment. Despite the good-intentions behind the developers of Monad, the emotionally charged programming that surrounds each character ultimately proves to be too much for the servers to handle. The longer your character is in the game, the more prone they are to glitches. These hiccups in the data can manifest in a variety of different ways, tearing open past scars or exploiting your character’s innermost fears. The plot ensures monthly updates in an attempt to re-secure data, but sometimes even the updates can do more harm than good.
Each character will wake up in their own apartment that is decorated according to certain parameters in their personality. Keepsakes and mementos from their life will be available to them in their living space. You may control how much your character remembers about the circumstances of their passing, and how they respond to their environment as it shifts around them.
Applications are currently OPEN, but they close TONIGHT at 12am -5GMT. Reserves are not required to apply.

Nothing. It seems like forever, then suddenly, there is light. You awaken in a tent structure; a tipi. Outside is a park filled with many other tipis all identical. All that are with you are the items you were carrying before you awoken here, a book, a pouch, and a device created to allow you to communicate with others in the city. The book may help you adjust to the city, if you care to read it. What you do next is up to you. The city is open and empty. The number of buildings are small and the roads that branch only partially through this large area often lead to nowhere. Where you go from here is up to you.
The multi-verse stands just as surely as people imagine it. Its inhabitants are beings so beyond our mortal scope and ability to behold that they are simply known as gods. We give them a great many names, and imagine them in a great many ways. The only thing everyone can agree on, for the most part, is that they exist. They are our creators, our caretakers, and most prominently, our game masters. We exist for their amusement, and have, from time to time, played parts in a great many of their games. As it stands, the city council and a single head administrator preside over one particular floor of the multi-verse. If you wish to understand more, they are the ones to speak to.
So now you are a pawn in a game. The game is oft spoken of, but never mentioned in detail. Reminders lay everywhere, and for those few that think their gods have abandoned them and left them to their own fate, there are reminders they are everywhere as well. Vivarium is a panfandom AU/memory-loss game, based off a 3DS/Vita game called Virtue's Last Reward. No prior knowledge of the Zero Escape series is necessary, and the game has its own original plot line. The game focuses heavily on escape, exploration of a trapped enclosure, the prisoner's dilemma, teamwork, and the concepts of trust and betrayal.
IMPORTANT NOTE: We currently have 4 slots open, as the game caps at 12 players. This is a fairly fast paced game that relied heavily on team participation in the puzzle rooms, so a decent tagging speed and time to tag somewhat regularly is highly encouraged.

In this world, there's a certain mineral resource with energy giving qualities called Alkite. A hundred years ago, certain anomalies began to appear in the sky around the world. Coinciding with this, the previously mundane crystals began to react. Fragments the size of a walnut were capable of holding vast reserves of energy.
This triggered an industrial revolution and consequently an Arms Race between the nations seeking to control this resource. Eventually a war broke out and has been going for about 70 years with a truce only being declared recently. Around this time though people from other worlds began appearing. Mundane at first, they were the only people capable of manifesting non-mechanical power from the crystals.
Empyrean Skies is at the core a game with focus on adventure, slice of life and zero drama. The Activity Check requirements are minimal as well, requiring 3 comments out of a 6 comment thread a month. It is a jamjar game with room for plenty of player plots, mod run events, an overarching main plot, and slice of life shenanigans.
We've got a small playerbase with LCW types to start and we're looking for even more to join the fun. We welcome original characters, obscure and minor characters, and even characters from tabletop games such as pathfinder (since they would be considered original characters). The Warehouse
The Agents of the Warehouse have been tasked with keeping the world safe from dangerous Artifacts. They travel the world, searching for these objects with mystical powers, and bring them back to the Warehouse for safe storage. Unfortunately, not everyone believes Artifacts should be tucked away and out of the hands of the general public. And some wish to take down the Warehouse altogether.
An Artifact has been broken in two – on accident or on purpose, the Agents haven’t yet figured out. What is clear is that when the Artifact was broken, it tore a hole in the barriers between this reality and all the other universes that exist.
In its broken state, this Artifact has started pulling people from their universes into this one. Innocent lives, ripped from their home, out of space and out of time, with no way back until the Agents find the missing half of the Artifact and make it whole again.
Worse, it seems someone is bent on making not only the Agents’ lives difficult, but the lives of all these people now in the Agents’ care as well. The Agents are scrambling to find the broken part of the Artifact and fix the tear between universes. They are doing all that they can, but it might not be enough.

The Warehouse is a panfandom RPG on Dreamwidth set in the Warehouse 13/Eureka universe. It is open to all fandoms. Canon characters, Canon OCs, and Canon AUs are welcome. Four years have passed since the Sky Fortress Bahamut crashed into the sands of Dalmasca, heralding an end to Imperial rule of the desert nation and the return of HRH Queen Ashelia B'nargin Dalmasca to its throne. Peace has been established, but the wounds of war and occupation run deep. While Ivalice attempts to rebuild and restore that which was broken, a new anomaly threatens all with an untold danger looming on the horizon. Strangers claiming to be from other worlds and times have manifested on these uncertain shores. For what purpose have these Outworlders come and what will their role be in the pages of history?
Concordance of the Rifts is a single-fandom roleplay set in the lands of the Ivalice Alliance games. It is a hybrid of all the Ivalice Alliance entries, set three years after the conclusion of Final Fantasy XII.
We are a slow-paced game, but very plot-driven! AC is simple check-in every month, though with proof of activity we give special items. We welcome previous game history as well! Upon entry, characters arrive with a grimoire, being chased by a monster. We can't let everyone have it too easy, can we? It wouldn't be Final Fantasy if it was easy.

AMOR FATI
A hundred and eighty years ago, all that once was, was lost. Only a sliver of humanity and the others that inhabited our world managed to survive. Sickness came as swiftly as the bullets and bombs that started the quick downfall, wiping out whole communities, cities, sometimes even small nations.
History went dark. No one is truly sure as to who started it or why and truth be told it doesn't matter anymore. What matters is restoring what we had lost. Most people these days have settled down. Their ancestors took over old cities, remote villages, rebuilt what was lost in the war the best they could with what little they had. There are those who don't even settle down because generations were brought up wandering and raiding, and it no longer feels right to stay rooted to one spot to them. This meager way of living isn't enough; just surviving isn't enough but there are those who think bringing back all the technology and knowledge we lost will only lead to the true end and they are violent in trying to prevent it from happening. They have burned libraries, whole towns and parts of cities to the ground for the sake of ignorance.
You could say we're not quite there yet. Civilization is a dream not entirely realised, and what little tech we have feels stone aged compared to the stories we were told of what was.
Things are changing, slowly, yet it's still a harsh world to live in and death lingers at every corner in the guise of so many things that had once been fixed.

This isn't your Momma's prison. The only bars you'll find in this prison serve margaritas or real bloody marys if you've got fangs. The closest you'll come to breaking rocks is the breaking waves at the beach and the exercise yard has been replaced with a fully functional gym. So maybe you wake up in a jumpsuit — some traditions are worth keeping — but the clothing shops are plentiful and none of the many restaurants serve gruel unless you really want it to. Arc of Light is an RPG based on two anime from the Yu-Gi-Oh! series, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's and Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V. Set in the worlds established by the first 64 episodes of 5D's and thus far, the entirety of Arc-V, the story takes place across two settings, in the native world of 5D's and the "Standard" world of Arc-V.
Features:
• Community based.
• Very small game, slow-to-medium paced.
• Action/Adventure-based, centered around the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, with some Slice of Life elements.
• Open to canon characters from Part 1 of 5D's and Arc-V as well as OCs from either series.
• Canon characters from part 2 of 5D's and other areas of the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise can be adapted.
• No IC:OOC days ratio, passage of time is tied solely to the speed of the plot and nothing more.
• Overarcing plots across two worlds, one original in 5D's and one an adaptation of the plot of Arc-V.
• Heavy emphasis on OOC communication to determine the direction of the story, including weekly game chats on AIM.
Arc of Light is a very small game with a slow-to-medium pace that's driven by a pair of overarcing plots. Currently, the game is still under construction to an extent, but is moving closer to being completed and ready to start its story by the day.
