swevenvision seen in sleep; a dream

Sweven, Montana. It was once a quiet, unassuming little town, but it's now the fourth largest city in the USA. This is where you find yourself waking up one morning, surrounded by the stark white of a hospital and with a new tattoo on your wrist. A sharply dressed woman sits next to your bed and gives you an apologetic smile. “I’m sorry,” she says, “But you’re not where you’re supposed to be, and we’re not sure how to get you home.”

Welcome to Montana. I hope you enjoy your stay.

Sweven is a pan-fandom, community-based roleplaying game that takes place in the fictional large city of Sweven, Montana. Characters are brought into the city for no readily apparent reason and given two things upon entrance: a tattoo on their left wrist that distinguishes them from the natives, and a dream-power that's awoken once characters participate in the Dreaming. The Dreaming is a shared dreamscape that, combined with visits from an urban legend known only as 'the blackness,' will slowly reveal why characters have been brought into the game and how to get home.

In addition to the more supernatural aspects of the game, Sweven's big company, Nilisom Technologies, is being government sponsored to work on a way to find characters home using technology. Whether or not they really have the incoming characters' best interests at heart is up for debate, though they seem friendly enough. Characters are encouraged to make lives for themselves in Sweven while unraveling the mysteries that surround their arrival, the Dreaming phenomenon, and the ever-changing blackness that haunts the city.
