You feel that something's — wrong.

Every direction pulls on you at once, and a flash of light slams you between the eyes, leaving you disoriented and bleary-eyed. After blinking away the nausea, you find that you’re standing smack dab in the center of a glowing platform, with nothing but a black and blue screen and flanged feminine voice for company.

“Welcome to the City, Hero.”

After getting your name, a machine dispenses your communicator and dog tags, and the faceless voice advises you to pick up a brochure on your way out, before laughing and fading away. And that's that. Welcome to the City – your new home.

If anyone asks, you're just another human immigrant to a city made up of almost nothing but. Stranded, alone, with nothing but the clothes on your back, you've been brought to a city you're not used to, outfitted with powers you may have never even heard of, and you've got to try and keep a secret identity to boot. The locals might not be at the brick-throwing stage anymore, but most are still suspicious and fearful of "imPorts" with strange powers.

So, settle in for a stay. Get used to your powers, make some friends, form a team and fight some crime. Or, if that's not your style, get your villain hat on and cause some real mayhem. The City is yours.

discedo is a medium pace "experiment" style game. It's set in the post-apocalyptic world of Fortuna, and takes on all sorts of genres from crack to horror! Our current Naruto cast is well acquainted and totally wonderful.

Abax is a panfandom, original character friendly mystery horror game set in a seemingly abandoned city. Trapped in perpetual night, the city is expansive and sprawling, offering all of the amenities one could need. Separated into many different districts, the city has an interconnecting system of subway and skytrains, although they never seem to stop. Some districts are inexplicably blocked off; anyone trying to reach a destination where they just shouldn't be will find themselves right back where they started.

▷ TRAINERS get a 15% discount on products in pokemarts, department stores and other sales venues, including places like restaurants and flower shops! That means everywhere, essentially: museums, too. They get one extra % per badge, and an extra 5% per completion of a whole region's badge sets. That's right--by the time they've polished off Johto and Kanto, they'll have 41% off! Plus, they also get 30% more prize money from gyms. (taken directly from FAQ)

▷ BREEDERS can breed more eggs per month than Trainers or Rockets, and are the only ones who are capable of breeding Shiny Pokémon. The chances of breeding a shiny offspring are 1/50 (2%) with one shiny parent and 1/25 (4%) with two shiny parents. Also, they don't need badges to use HM moves! All they have to do is borrow the HM from a Trainer and teach it to their Pokémon.

▷ ROCKETS start off in Goldenrod City instead of New Bark Town and come with a level 15 starter and your choice of a level 5 Ekans, Koffing, Rattata, Grimer, or Magikarp. They are required to stay in Goldenrod for the first two weeks to complete training, get a P1000 allowance per week, and have full access to Rocket facilities. However, they also need to provide one Pokémon of uncommon rarity or high level (30+) per week; failure to do so twice will result in them being kicked off the team, unless they are on official Rocket business for 2+ weeks or hunting a rare Pokémon. This is handwaveable, though, so don't fret!

route_29 is a journal-based panfandom Pokemon game that takes place in Johto, with Kanto recently being introduced for characters to travel to. The pacing ranges from medium to fast, and the players are friendly as well as backtag friendly! Characters get dumped in either New Bark Town as trainers or breeders, or in Mahogany Town as Team Rocket grunts. They start with a Pokemon and go on a grand Pokemon adventure. Awww yeah.

So naturally it'd be awesome for a bunch of lawyers and friends to show up there, right?

luceti is a panfandom game where characters get tossed into a village, given a set of wings, and have to deal with everything from crazy experiments to war and slice of life. There is an overarching plot, and the game is very backtag and player plot friendly. AC is only thirty comments.

projects is set in what appears to be the modern city commonly known as Minneapolis, but something's not quite right. The GPS ends beyond the boundaries of the city, and a barrier stops everyone from leaving. It would appear that there's nothing outside of Minneapolis, but that doesn't seem to bother the citizens. In fact, they're quite happy here, and they don't seem to understand why you keep insisting that you've been kidnapped from your home. No one's been kidnapped, they say--you've been here the entire time. It's up to the apped characters to figure out what is going on, why they've appeared in a strange city, and how they're going to get back home. Of course, they don't know it, but they're never going to go home, because they're not the same person that they once were, and this isn't exactly the 21st century...

PG is slow-paced for now because of the small cast. Apps are open 24/7 but are only reviewed every two weeks--on the 1st and the 15th--so characters arrive in small groups.

anemoi is a panfandom, community-based memory loss jamjar set in the city of Sirocco and the outlying wilderness. When characters show up, they remember nothing but their names, and are taken to a lab where they are made government employees and tasked with finding gems called anemoi to bring to them for processing. To further encourage finding anemoi, each anemoi processed restores a small portion of the finder's memories.

But where are these anemoi? Out in the wilderness. They won't be found close to the city, and the farther out one goes, the more dangerous the wilderness becomes. There are all sorts of monsters out there -- including monsters from worlds represented in the game. Characters are encouraged to band together to form parties to explore the wilderness, and trips can be handwaved or logged in the comm or on AIM.

And on that note, each character occasionally gets a regain. These regains can even be put towards bringing in world mechanics from characters' home worlds. So far, we have magic from both the Fire Emblem (Elibe) and Guilty Gear worlds, plus the Band system from Final Fantasy IV: The After Years, among other things.

Who I want:
Illyasviel von Einzbern (HF) - Shirou has no reason to be scared of her without his memories of Saber and Archer vs. Berserker, and they could bond without the Emiya name impeding them. I think that'd be interesting to play with.
Kiritsugu Emiya - This would probably be really awkward at first, since Shirou has already remembered being adopted by Kiritsugu, but I'd love to see how this plays out. Also, once Shirou remembers the major events from UBW and Kiritsugu remembers the major events of F/Z, I'd love to see them sit down and have a chat.

imperial_saga is an AU fantasy game with steampunk and magitek elements. Characters are citizens of a vast empire, composed of a plethora of kingdoms — many of whom don't like each other. Add into that a number of factions with their own ambitions, and you have a recipe for high tension, chock-full of political intrigue. Characters can run their own kingdoms or factions, and can hold various positions in society, from military officials to diplomats to wanderers.

Tsubaki Yayoi - Jin needs something to genuinely care about, and Tsubaki is the best possible person to provide that for him. She's important to his character development, and I'd just really love to play Jin off a Tsubaki. I'd be up for shipping it, too, if the opportunity provides itself.
Makoto Nanaya - Jin needs more people to not be a jerkass at, and Makoto is definitely someone he can be somewhat decent to. Plus, she's a fun character, and considering we might be getting Noel, she'd have another friend.
Jubei - Someone needs to keep people aligned against Hazama. Plus, once Jin gets through some of his character development, he'll need someone to help instruct him on how to better use his powers.

Really, we’ll welcome any characters with open arms! They’re both big series, with a lot of people in it. Don’t think we don’t want your character just because you don’t see their name here!

That said, in our Naruto cast, I know we would still love to see some more members of Team Gai – is there a Neji or a Lee out there? We’d love to have you! Then Temari’s our only Sand ninja, so a Gaara or a Kankuro would make our day. Our Sai-mun would also love a Shin!

And of course, getting some badass jounin/senseis in the place would be awesome. Kakashi, Gai, Kurenai, Tsunade, Jiraiya, Killer Bee, Iruka, ninja parents. Anyone and everyone. And I’ll give my right arm for an Asuma, seriously.

What the Game is like: Mayfield is a panfandom, community based game with horror elements that's basically as if evil had a baby with the film Pleasantville. Characters are pulled into a town that appears to be the picture perfect version of ideal American life in the 1950's, however, the leaders of the town are hostile to the new inhabitants who have to try to survive the horrible events that happen in the town along with unraveling the mystery of the nature of Mayfield. Characters also must deal with the fact that upon their arrival in Mayfield, they lose all important possessions and special abilities and are essentially normal humans who can only regain their lost possessions and abilities by participation in events. The events at Mayfield range from humorous to horrific and are very well planned by the mods and tend to involve lots of hints and new opportunities to explore character development and CR.

Size is large, with about 3 or 4 posts a day during normal times and quite a flood during events which are about every few months.

soul_campaign is looking for more Homestucks! It's a plot-driven game set in the Soul Eater-verse, and the premise involves characters who change into weapons or wield them in the war against witches.

Look I even brought my bullet points. :V

- Large in size, relaxed pace outside of intro week (which, fair warning, can get insane)

- Backtag friendly

- Welcoming OOC atmosphere

- Death is permanent

- Canon powers are sealed, but your character still gets one whether you play a Weapon or Meister

- Keep in mind it's a war game with dark elements. I know I always make the disclaimer, but it's worth keeping in mind. There's plenty of room for slice-of-life and fun things, but if you're not comfortable with your character facing serious injury or madness, use caution.

We have openings for John, Jade, Aradia, Equius, Eridan, Feferi, and any carapace, some ancestors (we have Handmaid and Dolorosa), or guardians.

Reserves/Applications are open until February 15th! It's actually already past the deadline for getting a beta reader assigned to you, but I'm totally willing to beta for castmates, and a few other players might as well.

AC is 2 networks posts, a network post and a log post, two log posts or a network or log post plus 15-20 comments (that can be broken up into multiple threads).

Who we are: Carriero is a small horror-survival game with an overarching plot. The setting is semi-asylum, as said asylum is in space and the doctor's quarters are accessible. The AI that runs the ship launches "therapies" on a regular basis, so in addition to an over-arching plot, there are small and large events.

If you are busy irl and cannot devote too much time to RP but still want to have a place that you can keep up with, if you are looking for a place where new characters have an easy time finding their way into the cast and getting CR with everyone, or just want to pick up a small, tight-knit game, this is the place for you.

luceti, or "that game with the wings", is a medium-paced journal-based jamjar game. Your characters have been dragged to a forested enclosure with a small town in it. There is a plot involving the group who kidnapped these characters, who put their captives through experiments and send them out to fight a mysterious third party, but largely, the game leans towards being slice-of-life.

As far as a Fairy Tail cast goes, the only person in there is Erza Scarlet. We might be getting a Jellal as well, though nothing's certain as of yet. Any Fairy Tail character would be appreciated, though a special shout-out goes out to Natsu, Gray, or Lucy. But, like I said, I'd be happy to see anyone apped.

itsjustagamerp is a panfandom Mystery Science Theater 3000 roleplaying game combined with a sporking community. A knowledge of MST3K is helpful but not necessary to play in the game. It's Just A Game is primarily crack in a slice-of-life setting, but with some adventure/exploration on the side as the game progresses.

It'Just A Game allows any characters from any medium, including very cracky or unusual canons, as long as they are canon-based. Characters are encouraged to raise morale through humor and various activities in the face of a variety of crack-flavored events, with the hope that raising morale high enough will enable them to return home. Players are especially encouraged to sign their characters up as participants in the bi-weekly sporking sessions, which drive the premise of the game. However, players are not required to spork in order to play in the game.
