Here's the deal: Your hometown/planet/previous haunted mental institution? Gone. Kaput. De-freaking-stroyed. The details are sketchy, and the reasoning is completely out the window, but what you do know, is that you don't have anywhere to return. No place to call home anymore.

You're now a refugee on the S.S. Thor, a spacestation floating around the galaxy with the sole mission to rescue vagrants like you. You've been given three things: a (rather stylish) towel, an oddly designed book (which, on the back has the words DON'T PANIC inscribed in large friendly letters) and coordinates to some sort of cabin. You have to work for us for a little while, and build up a name for yourself. But before all that, sit down. Have a drink. Take in your surroundings. Get to know everyone else. Oh, and don't worry.

Everyone here? We're mostly harmless.

►gargleblasted is a community based, sandbox game. It's based on "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" (or H2G2 for short), but you don't need to know anything about the canon to join! You're welcome to play out pretty much whatever you want, from drama to crack, and let's not forget to punch an alien or two. Every month, the characters can pick a new job, visit the new planet and suffer enjoy the effects of the Improbability Drive (what common people know as "events"). Player plots? We live for them!

►Activity is 25 comments per month, or an open post/log plus a thread. Don't be scared by the size: the pace is a slow/medium, and we've got great backtaggers! otherwise I would've already died sob

►The setting is panfandom! We accept everything under the sun. Revenance RPG is a small, community-based, panfandom game based on Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance. While it’d be nice to have some knowledge of Kingdom Hearts, you definitely don’t need it in order to play. Anyone in general would be awesome, but we'd really love to see a Nel, Maria or Mirage around for the Star Ocean: Till the End of Time cast. Fayt's doing a decent job at keeping Cliff and Albel from causing too much in the way of property damage, but any of these lovely ladies would be a big help in reigning in the boys. For the Star Ocean: Second Story cast, It'd be great to have a Dias, Welch, or Celine around.

Luceti itself is a large, medium paced and journal based game with an ongoing plot involving the mysteries of the 'Luceti Project' and the Malnosso organization. We have monthly events, as well as a 'draft' every few months in which the characters are recruited to fight for the Malnosso against the third party in a roundabout method of defending the village, as well as consistent opt in missions. The game is essentially what you make of it, with downtime in the village where there are monthly events and player plots, and player opt in combat outside of it.

Applications open every other month, and the AC is the same, falling on the month after applications close. The game has very simple activity requirements, and is very backtag friendly.

If you believe in something hard enough, it will come true. Like how Santa Claus is apparently real because kids all around the world believe in him. So why not if you focus hard enough on something fictional, it can become real? Certainly no one person has this ability, but what about a whole slew of people? A fandom? All that fanart and fanfics and fansites and hours laboring over something that was never real finally can become a living thoughtform.

So where do we put all these suddenly non-fiction fictionals? You can't have them running around with the general public, so your kid is placed on NEW MOORE until they have accumulated to their new life.

Unfortunately, the isolated island is vague on the details of this "outside world". Is the real world like Spira, or Middle Earth, or is it like the world from Star Trek? And are they ever actually getting out? Is there anything to get out to? And make no mistake, you want out - the island, while hospitable and reasonably spacious, is a strange place. It seems to respond to the collective moods of its inhabitants, allowing ideas to mutate the quality of life as you may know it. The people looking after you are just as affected by mass thought as the island - so if you think they're benevolent helpers, that's what they'll always be. But if you start to suspect them of being out to get you...

One day, Good and Evil decided to play a game. Kind of like chess, but bigger.

Good believed that one day, the world would have peace. After all, they’re good--optimism and belief in the better parts of a person’s nature comes with the territory. Evil, on the other hand, scoffed at the idea. People were always going to give in to their baser ideals. Even if they managed to find a time for peace, there was always going to be war again.

So they decided to make a wager.

They would collect them all -- heroes, villains, and everything in between -- and place them in a world that evens the playing field. The guilty would have to pay for their sins, but it would be all of the guilty, not just the evil. They would be forced to redeem themselves together, on an even playing field.

They created a brilliant golden city. They invited the people of the world below and let them do with the city as they will. They left agents of both sides and those in between to watch over them, make sure that they paid off their debt in full. Occasionally, the agents will have their own fun with them, but for the most part the inhabitants were left to their own devices.

That was where things went wrong.

The first wager failed, horribly. The city fell to ruin, and the inhabitants vanished, never to be heard from again. Thousands of years passed, and the city remained empty.

EXSILIUM is laid-back, mid to fast-paced game with a friendly and welcoming OOC environment. Characters are tasked to work for the Initiative, a resistance group that means to change the world for the better by altering history. AC is easy, and backtagging is more than welcome! The game is very obscure canon and OC friendly: some of our biggest movers and shakers are OCs, and our obscure canons range from rare videogame characters to obscure tv series characters. Apps and reserves operate on a rotating schedule — reservations are open from the beginning of the month until the last week of the month, at which point applications open, and so on. The game is fairly plot heavy: one of the best aspects of the game is that your characters' actions during time travel events directly and indirectly affect future game events. There's downtime as well between events, so there's definitely opportunity for more slice-of-life stuff if that's what you're into. There are also smaller, cr building mission opportunities, and plenty of room for player plots, for people who are into that! You wake up suddenly - which is odd, since you don’t remember ever having been asleep. You’re in some sort of brightly lit town - or city, it’s hard to tell - and the little white winged-pompom-bear thing in front of you seems to want your attention. It introduces itself as a moogle, calls you kupo half a dozen times, gives you a small bag of what it deems necessary items, and explains that you’ve woken up in a world called Traverse Town...except you haven’t really woken up at all. As a world, Traverse Town is still asleep, and so are you. Welcome to the realm of dreams.

Revenance is a panfandom game based on Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance. While it’d be nice to have some knowledge of Kingdom Hearts, you definitely don’t need it in order to play. Revenance is relatively open-ended: characters can choose a more slice-of-life experience, can focus on raising or training Dream Eaters, or can become involved in the unfolding story, which will take more of an action-adventure bent.

The government is now all-seeing, and deeply militarized; rulers of the United Earth. Characters are brought into what was once Britain, and they are given a unique weapon upon their arrival that grows and evolves with them. This weapon travels with them, grows with them, and adapts to that character’s weaknesses in a way to help them compete with the trials they will face both in the past and their present time. Characters are trained, daily, in battalions in the Initiative Hold. Whether they be fighters or scholars, intellectuals or brutes, characters will be militarized in the interest of the Initiative and a use will be made for them. Not all of them will be made to fight, but all of them will be paid and made to assist, ideally, with the Initiative's plans.

exsilium is a community-based, mid-paced, sci-fi game where your character is sent by the Initiative to participate in a rebellion against United Earth. You can be a fighter, a healer, or a diplomat — or even someone from the entertainment industry to rally the troops against the regime! Every month, there are missions where your character travels through time in various countries and time frames, all to change the events of history in the Initiative's favor, all for the sake of a better world. Basically, they'll have an effect on the game's plot! Additionally, your weapon of choice can be anything — a gun, a sword, a shield, even a voice! Even a spoon. If your character has a power from back home, they can be weaponized as well.

While the game itself is plot-heavy, there are also opportunities for slice-of-life shenanigans amidst all the war-related events. Also, the playerbase is generally backtag-friendly and welcoming.

Kiseki is a journal-based, slice-of-life jamjar game, with a small and friendly playerbase! We have 7 players and 35 characters, currently, and always hoping for more. The setting is light-hearted with occasional underlying creepiness (think Outo Country in Tsubasa), and we have player-run plots and game-wide events regularly.

We are a CLAMP-only game, great for minor, underappreciated CLAMP series and characters as well as the popular ones!

Reserves are always open and last for a week. The application itself is simple (no third person!). Game pace can be fast for a small game (during events, usually) but overall is slow to medium-paced. Comments are usually comment-spam, everyone is very backtag friendly, and our bi-monthly AC is low-pressure.
