Most nitpicky play with me post ever!
However the RP urge is stirring and I'm looking for something relaxed and low-key to help me keep this spark going until my RP-drive returns. The character I most want to play right now is Superboy/Kon-El from the DCU Comics-verse -- Superboy/Young Justice and if you twist my arm I *might* be willing to take him from Teen Titans for you. I also have Superboy from Young Justice: cartoon, Edogawa Conan/Kudo Shinichi or Hattori Heiji from Detective Conan kicking about.
I prefer dw, gdoc or e-mail based RP, as I am in a funky timezone and IM RP hasn't worked well in the past. I can boomerang when timezones allow but will backtag into infinity when they do not. I am daunted by memes, but if you're willing to chat with me and work out a back story/general direction first, willing to give them a try! Rec me your dressing rooms, museboxes, games with super-low activity/app requirements (I promise I am not looking to slack off, I just don't want to commit to anything/place expectations on myself right now), all of that good stuff, please!
I like slice-of-life/drama/plotty shenanigans/mystery/action/adventure, prefer friendships/bromances/rivalries and am open to romance (het or slash or any combination thereof, though I really, really fail at playing out anything risque). I am open to canon, AU, 4th wall shenanigans AND characters from totally different canons!
I do not want to play anything that brushes on rape, child abuse/exploitation or drug use/abuse.
Thank you for reading all of this!

Hope you'll give us a look, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask! :)

Thanks very much! I will go take a look.

That being said, I'd be happy to do some musebox stuff with you. I am all for Rping out their bromance or romance or whatever. For all of the above, I definitely have a preference for Conner from TT /light arm twist!
I am on the EST time zone, but I work third shift and have a lot of downtime at my job. I tend to catch people at some point, regardless of their wonky timezone.

Though I have to ask -- what crazy events has Tim been dealing with?
And museboxing: any particular point in TT? pre-/post-arm-breaking-head-shaving-Luthor-drama/death/not being as dead as previously thought? Are you in the mood for slice-of-life/down-time or something with more of a plot?
I'm on Japan-time and not totally sure how that will match up with your hours, but willing to find out!

Around the end of April, there was an earthquake and half a building fell on top of Tim. Sort of. Cass covered him and kept him safe. Tim spent most of his free time helping, because, you know...No Man's Land. Then they all got sent to space and Tim ended up on the Event Horizon. Half way through the event, he lost his mind and wrote the anti-life equation all over the place, attacked Steph, and a couple of hours. Tim cried out for Conner because he's one of the people who Tim feels safe around. Kara stayed on the ship to save some people as the ship went through a black hole (she was dropped and is going to be apped back in later). Then last week, Steph and Tim wound up with a baby of their own (through an event). Busy month!
I'm thinking not being dead as previously thought. I have a bias towards that, because I play Conner myself, and that canon point is one of my favorites.
I'll be up for another 7 or so hours, if that gives you an idea of what our schedules are like.

I haven't read any TT issues from around that point in some time (... or maybe even at all. My memory is fuzzy, and I'm not sure what I've read/been told about), but I do have the Superboy issues from that period through to just before new-52. Any recommended reading for me to make sure we're on the same page, or willing to jump in and see how we do?
Also, I'm assuming canon-ish setting, but it just occurred to me there's no reason it'd have to be. What do you think?
And that's looking really good! As I post this it is 2:50 pm here, and I generally get home around 3:45 pm weekdays so yeah -- this could be really cool.

I'm thinking of the six issue mini arc that takes place in Adventure Comics. When Conner comes back, revisits everyone, and deals with Luthor. TT tanks for a good 15 or so issues after he returns, and then gets better near the last 6-7 comics /two cents.
If you're referring to AUs, I'm also down with those. I also realized I never answered one of your questions. I'm thinking slice-of-life with some action mixed into it.

Dude! I love that mini arc! Well, I love the first five issues of it -- bizarrely, the final sixth issue is not available on the DC Comics app or comixology, which is how I'm currently getting my comics. Very vexing!
Sorry for how sporadic I've been -- I was so sure that I wasn't going to get any responses to this ATP comment that I dumped the contents of my closet all over my room, intending to reorganize it, so I've been divided between doing that, making a my little pony version of Kon and replies, but my closet is organized and I can see my floor, so yes, here I am. If we're going from newly back to life Kon, slice of life has a lot of opportunities -- he'll be wanting to make up for lost time, do normal stuff/stuff he thinks is normal, and drag Tim along for it.

Oh, and we have a Young Justice Wally. And he is a pony. :D

But I figured it wouldn't hurt to throw my hat in the pile, either way!

I've been playing Superboy from very early in Season 1 -- episode 12, iirc, at

And oh boy…What I don't like playing with her might be the shorter answer, but here goes! What I really like about M'gann is exploring how she's this sweet natured girl who is also an outsider and actually has some pretty sad facets in her backstory and psychology. Like, she's an alien who really loves Earth but can't make the full switch, and while there's some parts of her she's REALLY proud of, like her powers and such, there's also some deep rooted shame in her Mars identity. I also admit I'm prone to some body horror with her, though I try to keep it tame; more of that fear of becoming something that isn't seen as normal or acceptable, pretty much.
And from the more narrative driven standpoint, I like that she's ready to bake and do domestic and relaxed things, but also equally ready to go out and kick butt. And is always ready to try more Earth things! (Cheerleading? Mall? Day at the beach? Motorycles? It's all good!) With her, drama, action, and warm fuzzies are all just really viable.
Like, I think one of my favorite threads with M'gann was where she convinced the team that an excellent friendship building exercise was playing 'spin the bottle,' just like on TV! Along with a lot of the more action-y things with fighting bad guys, monsters, or saving people.
Sorry, I can tl;dr forever about Young Justice.

And please, tl:dr away! I've yet to see any of season 2 -- I am dependant on DVD imports and was still working my way through the latter half of season 1 when my external DVD drive took a dive off my cupboard onto the floor and ... yeah, it's in need of professional attention. I've read as many spoilers as I could find and scoured youtube for clips, so I'm pretty sure I've got a good idea of where SB's development goes, but I generally prefer beginnings anyway.
It sounds as though, just like M'gann, you're up for almost anything! Which is cool, but makes finding a starting point a little bit tricky. Since I've played SB in a non-canon setting so far, I think I'd prefer something canon-related -- and since you're also interested in exploring M'gann's feelings of out-of-placeness/relationship with Earth/human culture, how about a scenario where the rest of the team are on a reconaissance mission that relies on blending in, and M'gann, SB (and maybe Aqualad too?) have been left behind because they'd stick out and they're not thrilled about this?
no subject
Also, canon setting stuff is great, and I'm always eager for more of it. That scenario can be approached a lot of different ways, too. Like I can see M'gann going "Well hey, let's go learn about Earth and how to fit in on our own!" and then make plans for the beach/mall/rollerskating rink/restaurant/movies (and be shocked and a little disappointed that people don't go to drive-ins anymore) etc. You can even add some action onto that and have them stumble into a crime or mission of their own that they need to resolve!
What sort of time frame would you prefer for this? Again, I'm pretty adaptable and can go with just about anything season 1. I could see this working especially well with anything episode 9 (Bereft) or prior, myself.
no subject
Yeah, we've got a lot of potential here! I am up for ... any and all of those possibilities, whoops. Is there anything you're particularly interested in?
About episode 9 sounds good to me. Taking them from before they're enrolled in high school makes the most sense, but episode 9 means they're used to each other and the team.
no subject
And any antagonist complications...Well, anything from street level thugs to possibly some hired help from Intergang (they sadly didn't get to do a whole lot in Season 1) sounds good!
no subject
Drive in theater + altercation + movie sounds like a good plan to me! I'm assuming we'd play this in the journal of whoever makes the starting post? I don't mind setting up, but it's going to take me a day or two -- got a busy few days, but things should be quiet by my Sunday.
no subject
This all sounds like an excellent idea, too! Also, I've got a musebox right over this way that I could start a thread on, if you'd like!
