Hi there! I'm mostly familiar with your Trek characters so can I entice you to check out Throne of Shadows? It's a fantasy-style game, slow-medium paced with easy AC. We have both boomerang taggers and those who tag every couple of days. The game runs on a 3 OOC days = 1 IC day system so there's plenty of time to backtag and not fall behind. The game has a great metaplot going on that the players/characters have a hand in influencing based on our decisions too.

We have a Trek cast that includes some AU versions of characters, but also an OU Spock and Gaila. I play a AOS AU version of Christine Chapel, so you can see I'd love either a Bones or Carol (though the new movie set my Christine even further into AU territory. Oh, Abrams. I shake my head at you. And my fist.). Hope you'll take a look!

thanks for the suggestion! would you mind if i asked you a few questions about the game? basically, what's the ic-explanation for character doubles/aus and how does the cast handle that? i'd probably be equally comfortable playing bones or carol, but do you know if there's a cast preference for one or the other? thanks!

No prob! And I'm happy to answer. Basically it's handled pretty easily since in the 2009 film the characters themselves discovered they were living in an alternate reality when Nero and company went back in time and changed events. So it's like "You're a female version??? Oh, okay, alternate reality again." But what we do with that is pretty individualized. Like I play Christine as thinking the female versions aren't her crew and she won't take orders from Jane Kirk. She is, however, best friends with Pasha Chekov so she's in no way against the AU versions. Spock is much more logical about it (big surprise, a Vulcan being logical!) and accepts them as if they were the male versions.

I don't think there's a cast preference, but no one's asked for Carol yet to add to our ATP ad, so I'm assuming people would be leaning more towards Bones? He has closer ties to more of the characters, at least.

ok, that makes a lot of sense! i'll have to think about it for a bit, but it does look like a fun game so i'll definitely keep it in mind.

and major props for playing christine, she is one of my absolute favorites. <3
