A Shin Megami Tensei Inspired Game set in the mysterious City of Hinoto-Ri, Japan.

▼ Quick Game Summary

Destiny Strings is a panfandom, plot-oriented, adventure/slice of life community game, based on the Persona and Shin Megami Tensei series. You do not need to know about the series to play here! Characters are brought to the mysterious city of Hinoto-Ri to aid in the city survival against the forces that threaten to destroy it...or they can join in on that destruction themselves. The choice is yours.

Characters brought in keep their full powers (unless moderators feel one would not work for plot-related reasons), all their items, even their vehicle of choice. Moreover, the more they stay, the more the city adapts, and you will be able to have pieces of your own homeworld arrive in the city as well.

The world is ever-changing, highly influenced by character interactions, and driven by a central plot that is modified based on the player's decisions. Nothing is ever completely set in stone and how the story ends will be entirely up to you.

Yorozuya Gin-chan is NOW HIRING at Luceti, a panfandom ~~game~~ doujinshi (or fanfic, Gin-san's not sure) for more cast members to round out the #1 fourth-wall-breaking manga, GINTAMA. There are also optional missions if that's your thing.

Sunshineverse Premise

Sunshineverse is about what it sounds like. Everything is happy and bright and very very different from the dark abyss that the canon Naruto timeline has delved into. Some drastic changes one can expect to see are that Obito Uchiha is the Godaime Hokage, the Uchiha clan lives, the Yondaime Kazekage was never murdered, and Yagura was never overthrown during of the Kiri bloodline massacres... because they never happened. All good things, right? It would appear that way.

That, however, is only on the surface.

Underneath that is a level of uneasy bitterness that might edge its way into war, if the wrong parties become offended at the wrong time. Political envoys are often closer to being hostages, sometimes ending up trapped in their host village if there is some sort of dispute between the two powers, and they might not even realize it.

This, however, is a byplay that can easily be overlooked by a typical shinobi, so if all you wish to play is day to day interactions and missions, then it is easy enough to dodge any broiling undertones... so long as they stay undertones. Though civilian characters might be more successful at this. The general tension will be part of the overarching mod plot, but it's the player characters that will determine if things really get intense.

This game is panfandom and accepts OCs. After all, every character that steps into this game, even Naruto characters, will be getting a backstory makeover to fit the Alternative Naruto setting, as decided by their player. So have fun, and if you ever wanted to see what your character would be like if they were a ninja... well, here's your chance.

Sunshineverse Details

As the above summary probably showed, we are sort of a mixing pot of genres, but Action/Adventure is probably the closest definition you'll get, since we have everything from active combat missions, to huge shonen plot possibilities, to slice of life on the table.

Any fandom can be applied for, and if there are any questions about how to convert character powers between fandoms, the mods are always happy to answer them. OCs can be created for the world, or converted to the world, just as any fandom character can be, and we'll treat them all equally.

The pace is currently about medium, and we have a 1:1 day ratio... but it will be up to our players if the speed picks up. We hope to see you there!

TERMINAL TOKYO

Terminal Tokyo is a Digimon-based Panfandom RP game. The Digital World and Real World have merged and the worlds are in trouble. Characters are pulled across time and space from every direction to this one point in time. Together with a Digimon partner, your character must choose to defend the worlds or simply survive this new reality.

The game is rather plot-heavy, though the speed can change depending on the events that are taking place in a given month. We have just begun Act II of the game, and things are starting to really pick up. The Chosen have a new base of operations in HospiTown, for starters. The introductions of factions has just taken place, with the leaders each side trying to present their case in how they believe the worlds should be saved. How the game progresses from here on out will be dependent upon the actions the characters will take.

Note: There is a massive Irish/Icelandic/American family in this cast that the three dwarves and once-removed Thranduil belong to. If you play an elf and reincarnate them as Thorin's wife, Thorin-mun will give you her firstborn or something.

smashacademy is a comm-based Super Smash Brothers "High School" game. However, we're not limited to just Nintendo games--we welcome ALL VIDEO GAME CANONS! We accept SOME DUPLICATES. Our game is medium-small, pace is slow to moderate but picks up during events. We highly encourage player plots and there's also moderator-run events as well. Despite the "school" setting, we offer plenty of action, adventure, drama and of course, LOTS OF BRAWLING! Smash is not jam-jar (Have you ever wanted to see Ganondorf visit Hocotate? You can make it happen here...), powers are not nerfed, "humanization" of animal characters is your choice and you can switch freely between the two. (It certainly makes things like typing and talking a lot easier, though!)

Activity checks here are extremely relaxed and happen quarterly. Player check-ins happen every month there isn't an activity check!

DRAGON HAVEN

Dragon Haven is a pan-fandom, small-sized, comm-based game. It's an infinite world crafted by dragons, tasked with maintaining life and death. All characters that enter do so on dragon-back, rescued from a hostile world to the havens they've created. Once inside the havens, though, anything goes. Villains may be brought in by the playful and curious dragons, while others may cause the world to transform in...interesting ways.

After meeting an activity requirement, players are also allowed - and encouraged! - to apply for pieces of their worlds (or others) to be brought in by the dragons as well. They do love pleasing the community they've begun to create, so plot suggestions are also encouraged.

Players in Dragon Haven can expect to find a vast landscape to explore, plots that not only span regions, but the whole world, in order to keep characters on their toes, a friendly, laid back environment, and a game where the possibilities are nearly limitless.

About the Game:

Maison De Portes is a pan-fandom survival horror/mystery game. The potential for death and harm to come to your characters is almost guaranteed. The game is prose-only, with a very easy activity check. We have multiple story paths, with endings to be decided by the actions of the characters. The game is slow to mid paced, fairly small, with lots of chances for characters to work together to solve the situation they find themselves in. We are very backtag friendly and very willing to work around schedules, we feel that RP should be fun, not an additional job. Apps and reserves are currently open! TU SHANSHU

Seven hundred years ago, great war ravaged the land, decimation lanced across peoples and races and creeds, inexorable. Seven hundred years ago, everything ground to a sudden, bloody halt. Tu Vishan, now known to the people of Keeliai as 'Asti', was one of two great turtles to survive the calamity, and he did what has not been done for millions of years. He freed himself, and he swam. In the years since, he has not stopped.

He is now a beacon, a refuge. A testament to the strength of will that all creatures exert to survive. And on his back is the only city left in on the planet that's free of the dark influence of Malicant, a being so terrible that some have already given the cause of fighting it for lost. The Emperor Eshai, who has reigned in Keeliai for as long as Asti has swam, tried at first to summon heroes to her cause. Her first attempt failed. Instead, she brought the kedan into Konryu. A fierce and warlike species from a dying planet, the improper use of her magics damaged them, and made them what they are today. Her second attempt brought heroes true enough, but they were lost when Sinbrilee, Asti's sister and the other surviving turtle, died and sank to the ocean floor.

Keeliai straddles the three realms of Life, Death and Dreaming. Now revealed to be literal places, Keeliai exists in the plane of 'Life', and Death is currently ruled by Malicant's iron fist.

Arrival in Keeliai is not pleasant. Upon waking, you find yourself in a basin of water, and the Emperor is standing beside you, ensuring that you have survived the transition. He gives you a simple once over, and departs from the room before you regain enough strength to speak. Instead, his attendants flock to you, helping you out of the water with hushed words. Don't mind the Emperor, they say quietly. Had a bit of a rough week, he has. If you ask where you are and how you've come to be here, they'll explain what they can. That you've been brought to Keeliai to fight a great evil, and they hope you're a better warrior than the last bunch. If you try to pursue that line of questioning, though, other kedan will shush the one that spoke, and stiffly inform you that the rest is the Emperor's business.

You are here to fight a war. Just possibly, you are here to bear witness to the end of the universe. Perhaps you'll get a chance to be a hero, or perhaps you'll die trying.

What happens next is up to you.

tushanshu is a community-based panfandom science fiction/fantasy RPG with occasional horror elements and an overarching metaplot. It is a world of consequence and intrigue where character actions can and do have far-reaching effects on the world around them.

Knights of Legend
Knights of Legend is an open-world, plot-intensive game primarily for original characters,
but also open to canon characters. This game contains dark, mature themes and all players must be 18+.

This RPG is set in a modified version of the D20: Urban Arcana modern fantasy setting, which is a world exactly like our own - apart from the existence of creatures and beings from a fantastical dimension of monsters and magic, which have spilled into this world for thousands of years. Elves walk the streets among humans, high powered CEOs are beasts in disguise, and incursions of creatures both dangerous and benign threaten the stability of this Earth.

An ancient order of heroes exists secretly to combat these threats, and to help protect the innocent pilgrims from this other dimension from discrimination by those who don't understand them here. They are the Knights of the Silver Dragon. And they are about to face the greatest threat that they - or this world - have ever known.

luceti itself is a large, medium paced and journal based game with an long spanning plot involving the mysteries of the 'Luceti Project' and the Malnosso organization. We have monthly events, as well as a 'draft' every few months in which the characters are recruited to fight for the Malnosso against the third party in a roundabout method of defending the village. The game is essentially what you make of it, with downtime in the village where there are monthly events and player plots, and play opt in combat on occasion outside of it.

AC happens every other month with the basic 30 comment requirement, and the game is very backtag friendly. We also have a Test Drive meme if you'd like to get a feel for the game or your character before apping!

Time Compression has worsened. Over the past few months, its ripples through space-time have brought not only people, but creatures, objects, and places to the world with devastating effect.

Balamb Garden is not immune. Among the chaos, Time Compression is bringing back some familiar faces to a world that has stayed the same in many ways but in other ways, may be different from what they remember.

Witches Reign is in endgame, and from February 1st until the end of our plot arc (currently scheduled to conclude in early April), previously dropped characters may be reclaimed. We know many people out there have months if not years invested in the game; we would like to give them a chance to bid it farewell in style, if they so choose. No application is necessary so long as we can find you in our history.

Every character that was accepted to Witches Reign between its inception on Livejournal and the beginning of endgame in 2014 is allowed back.

This includes multiples of characters we have had various versions of throughout the years, be they AU or OU.

If characters have gone on to be played as CRAUs in other games, we ask that their memories are retconned to the point that they left WR.

Otherwise, memories remain intact. Whether your character went home prior to reappearing in Garden or was simply zapped into the present day is left to player discretion.

There is no activity check for endgame, only a player check in at the end of the month.

Sorry to be the one to let you know, but if you're here, that means you're dead. This is the afterlife. If you don't act, you'll be erased. By who? Hm.. probably God, right?

Either way, you're definitely dead and that means a couple of things.

One: You can't die again, since you're already dead.
Two: If you just sit around and live like a normal person, you'll disappear.
Three: You might be missing some memories. Don't worry, it's natural after you die sometimes.

So knowing that kind of stuff, what are you going to do? Are you going to fight? Are you going to try to get erased as soon as you can? It's up to you. Whatever you choose, it won't change the fact that the one life you had is over now and this is your last chance... but you might be in for even more of a fight than you expected.

You feel that something's... wrong. You don't quite remember what you were doing the moments before you now find your eyes trying to adjust to the darkness, the cold; you're somewhere underground, soldiers milling all around you. There are dog tags around your neck and some kind of digital imprinting on your wrist that seems to glow in the dark and reads: ʀᴇɢɪsᴛᴇʀᴇᴅ ʜᴇʀᴏ.

"So, hero," says a woman's voice, her face in shadows as a machine hums into glowing blue life behind her. "You're about to be a part of something bigger than yourself; I hope you're up for it." Before you can answer, you're ushered somehow upward, leaving you with only her final words -- "Don't worry. We're the good guys." -- before you're enveloped in blue light and suddenly blinking the bright Florida sunlight from your eyes. A soldier escorts you to a car, where she proceeds to debrief you on the situation as she drives you to your lodgings. Your home, for now.

Settle into your new house, your new job, get used to your powers, make some friends, keep your ear to the ground. Or, if that's not your style, get your villain hat on and cause some real mayhem, or put on a costume and bring back the era of the caped crusader... just be careful how you do it. This is bigger than you, and you didn't ask to be recruited. What you do next is up to you.

MASK OR MENACE, sequel to

capeandcowl, is a panfandom RPG based on the graphic novel New Frontier and set in a parallel, modern day universe... with a twist. Although the year is 2014, some sentiments and technology may be more reminiscent of the 1950s Cold War era, and some may seem far flung from the future. Anti-hero sentiment runs rampant, but you're a special case. That and officially a government secret.

These are the words whispered in your head as you wake up to unfamiliar surroundings. If they don't stick, never fear — they're also inscribed on a stone at the base of the crumbling fountain in the town square. What town square, you ask? Well, perhaps you haven't fully noticed yet. Take a look around.

This isn't your home.

Welcome to Isla Empieza, a port town in this pirate inhabited world you're going to be living in for awhile. It probably doesn't look like much, with its old cobblestone roads and weather-beaten buildings, but it does have a harbor with plenty of ships. The locals here will set you up with one, or at least help you get a room at the inn, but beyond that you'll find they keep to themselves. That should suit you fine, because you probably won't be staying in this town for too long.

The famed gem in question was once called the Piedra Roja, and having it in your possession is the only way you're going to be able to get back home.

So get a ship, find a crew, and take to the seas. There is endless ocean to sail, countless islands to explore, and a myriad of adventures to be had. The shards of the Piedra Roja could be anywhere, after all. Finding them won't be so easy. And remember...

You aren't the only one looking for them.

High Seas is a panfandom RPG that is a one part mod-controlled events (treasure hunts! sea beast attacks! a ticked off Naval force!), a couple parts slice of life (on a ship!), and many, many parts create your own adventure! In this mythical pirate world, the only preexisting city is Isla Empieza. Once you set sail from the island it's located on, the world is your oyster! Where your ship goes, the islands it discovers, all of this is up to you. You have total control over the types of places you want your character to visit.

As for why you're here, well, it seems Davy Jones is up to his old tricks. He's always looking for more unsuspecting sailors to drag down to his locker. You can blame him for pulling you into his chaotic world, and whatever curses befall this place? Those are also his fault.
