Knights of Legend
Knights of Legend is an open-world, plot-intensive game primarily for original characters,
but also open to canon characters. This game contains dark, mature themes and all players must be 18+.

This RPG is set in a modified version of the D20: Urban Arcana modern fantasy setting, which is a world exactly like our own - apart from the existence of creatures and beings from a fantastical dimension of monsters and magic, which have spilled into this world for thousands of years. Elves walk the streets among humans, high powered CEOs are beasts in disguise, and incursions of creatures both dangerous and benign threaten the stability of this Earth.

An ancient order of heroes exists secretly to combat these threats, and to help protect the innocent pilgrims from this other dimension from discrimination by those who don't understand them here. They are the Knights of the Silver Dragon. And they are about to face the greatest threat that they - or this world - have ever known.

To make matters even stranger, it seems denizens of other dimensions have begun arriving in this world as well...

Either way, you're definitely dead and that means a couple of things.

One: You can't die again, since you're already dead.
Two: If you just sit around and live like a normal person, you'll disappear.
Three: You might be missing some memories. Don't worry, it's natural after you die sometimes.

smashacademy is a comm-based Super Smash Brothers "High School" game. However, we're not limited to just Nintendo games--we welcome ALL VIDEO GAME CANONS! We accept SOME DUPLICATES. Our game is medium-small, pace is slow to moderate but picks up during events. We highly encourage player plots and there's also moderator-run events as well. Despite the "school" setting, we offer plenty of action, adventure, drama and of course, LOTS OF BRAWLING! Smash is not jam-jar (Have you ever wanted to see Ganondorf visit Hocotate? You can make it happen here...), powers are not nerfed, "humanization" of animal characters is your choice and you can switch freely between the two. (It certainly makes things like typing and talking a lot easier, though!)

Activity checks here are extremely relaxed and happen quarterly. Player check-ins happen every month there isn't an activity check!

Beastly Roses is a panfandom, fairy-tale game based in the ruined land of Loria. As characters begin to explore the land, they will find there is far more to this story than meets the eye. The forest is full of coffins, and the coffins are full of bodies. The dwarves won’t answer any questions, and nearby villagers only mumble something about queens and curses and – foxes? – before scurrying away. Your presence here will decide the fate of this kingdom, whether balance is regained, or if everything falls back into chaos.

▼ Quick Game Summary

Destiny Strings is a panfandom, plot-oriented, adventure/slice of life community game, based on the Persona and Shin Megami Tensei series. You do not need to know about the series to play here! Characters are brought to the mysterious city of Hinoto-Ri to aid in the city survival against the forces that threaten to destroy it...or they can join in on that destruction themselves. The choice is yours.

Characters brought in keep their full powers (unless moderators feel one would not work for plot-related reasons), all their items, even their vehicle of choice. Moreover, the more they stay, the more the city adapts, and you will be able to have pieces of your own homeworld arrive in the city as well.

The world is ever-changing, highly influenced by character interactions, and driven by a central plot that is modified based on the player's decisions. Nothing is ever completely set in stone and how the story ends will be entirely up to you.

It's been nearly two hundred years since the domes were built to protect the people of Verdana in their Great War against their sister planet, Antiqua. It's been nearly two hundred years since catastrophe felled two of the great domes, and sparked a plague that ultimately claimed billions of lives. Though much of the area ravaged by disease has been reclaimed, some portions remain uninhabitable, surrounded by a quarantine line. The no-man's land surrounding this line is known as the outer_divide.

Over time, the survivors began to band together and rebuild their society. Many of those most dedicated to retaking the plague-ravaged lands live in either the city of Poseidon, or the Old City outpost north of it. It's here that an ancient space ship crashed, nearly a hundred years after the catastrophe. From that ship newcomers emerged who would change everything.

Outer Divide is a panfandom sci-fi open world game. We accept characters from all mediums, as well as AUs, Fandom OCs, and Original Characters.

After new arrivals awaken in the ship they are free to explore the entire planet of Verdana. The only places they'll have difficulty entering are the Plagued Lands, and the remaining domed cities. The Outer Inhabitants are still rebuilding, and aside from the quarantine line, most of the technologies remaining resemble those of 20th and 21st century Earth.

Much of the world has become overgrown and filled with wildlife. The majority of the animals are similar to those found on Earth, including many extinct or mythical creatures. It's not unheard of to cross paths with a dinosaur in the wilderness.

Tristan, the Nysgod prince, has come of age and he must choose a partner from among the mortal races. In an effort to aid him in this task, the Grasp was created.

Part shadow, part magic, part technology, the Grasp has begun drawing people into the city of Dagaz from all worlds and times touched by the Nysgod people. Your race, gender, age, and species are of no importance. If the Grasp finds something interesting in you, if it thinks you might be a suitable partner for Prince Tristan, you will be found.

Throne of Shadows is a panfandom RPG with a slant toward high fantasy and science fiction, with interactions that will take place in both log and network formats. Taking place in the mythical city of Dagaz, the game guides players through the twists and turns of Nysgod politics as the shocking past of the realm is slowly revealed.

While there is an over-arching metaplot that will be revealed in stages, Throne of Shadows is also a player plot friendly game, allowing players to create their own shenanigans within the confines of the story. We are smut-friendly, although not smut-centric.

You open your eyes and see you’re in a giant winged egg-like building, in a world completely different from your own home. Smiling women are here to greet you, cheerfully handing you a journal and chirping encouragements to write to those you know. From the doorway, you can smell the sea, hear the wind in the trees, see the long road sprawling out to meet a little city before you. It’s almost peaceful, even though when you try to step out, you’re blocked from leaving by a powerful force. Outside, the world seems bright and warm, and the voices behind you are cheerful. But still, you cannot leave.

Kiseki is a comm-based, slice-of-life jamjar game, with a small and friendly playerbase! We have 12 players and 31 characters and always hoping for more. The setting is light-hearted with occasional underlying creepiness (think Outo Country in Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle or cursed Storybrooke in Once Upon a Time), and we have player-run plots and game-wide events regularly.

We are a CLAMP-inspired game that just very recently OPENED TO PANFANDOM so we now accept almost any canon, not just CLAMP series! The setting has been updated to reflect CLAMP-themes, but accessible enough for canon-blind appers. We’re great for minor, underappreciated CLAMP series and characters as well as the popular ones – and now, hopefully, for other series beyond just CLAMP! Right now we have a growing Once Upon a Time cast, as well as a growing BBC Merlin cast, and the beginnings of a Disney and Kingdom Hearts presence, and would of course love other canons in that vein – such as Disney movies or Sailor Moon – or new canons not already in game!

Reserves are always open and last for a week. The application itself is simple (no third person!). Game pace can be fast for a small game (during events, usually) but overall is slow to medium-paced. The playing style tends more towards comment-spam rather than prose-writing and the game-pace and player-base is casual and laid back. Comments are usually comment-spam, everyone is very backtag friendly, and our bi-monthly AC is low-pressure.

The spells and wards that once kept Attollo hidden and protected from outside forces have weakened and finally collapsed, leading to the invasion of the realm and the subsequent overthrowing of Arawn and his brethren. A much stronger and far more sinister and malevolent force has taken the reins. They have transformed the land, giving the darker nature of Attollo a chance to come forth and thrive, but an even more sinister threat awaits on the horizon.

Zul, the Wise of an ancient sect of immortal mages, Esha, the queen of all Succubi and Vozar, the Fallen One and purveyor of temptation have joined their considerable forces together to overthrow the old rulers of Attollo and imprison them where they can never been found... However, it doesn't just stop at Attollo. They have many more plans and far reaching goals they wish to achieve and they shall do so by any means necessary. Thus the mysterious agents are task with finding and recruiting the souls that are needed to help their masters achieve their goals.

About the Game

Languishment is a panfandom, 18+ sex-oriented roleplaying game set in the dark, mysterious and fantastical world of Attollo with action and adventure elements mixed in. Drawn in from an array of different dimensions and thrust into a world of magic and supernatural phenomena, characters are not just seen as an experiment any longer, but they are also seen as tools and a means to an end. Characters will have their mettle tested in ways they never imagined.

The game is open to canon characters, OCs and CR imports from other games. We currently have a cap of 100 characters in the game at one time, with cast caps of fifteen per canon. Reserves are mandatory before applying.

The land of Attollo awaits you. What will happen to you upon finding yourself here is anyone's guess...

The Campus Dressing Room
A "Peaceful" College Campus. An Unforgiving Island in Limbo.

the_campus is a school setting without the school work, set on an island with no civilization in sight. With a barrier keeping all the residents on the island, and a mysterious woman who speaks mockingly over the intercom keeping them all on edge, nobody can blame you for feeling a little trapped. But don't fret. It's not all bad! If the beautiful beaches and wild jungle don't calm your nerves, nothing will. Oh, and don't mind the occasional world-changing disaster... The principal likes to keep you on your toes.

The Campus is a slice-of-life dressing room with elements of mystery and survival, not just from the island setting itself but the consequences of mostly optional monthly events. With new set pieces being opened on a monthly basis along with mingles and events, things never grow old.

EXTRA INFO:
▶ Campus is not an 18+ game, but sex, death and violence are allowed as long as proper warnings are provided and sex is not on the main entries. Sex AUs or characters that exist solely for the purpose of sex are not allowed. We want a safe environment for all our players to play in!

▶ We allow AUs, OCs, game transplants, anything, as long as it fits within the character guidelines!

▶ No apps are required. Just drop on in! Our game is laid back and backtag-friendly! We have no activity requirements, just pop in whenever you feel like it. Got someone you've wanted to play for a while, but can't be bothered with a full-time game? Ours is the place for you!

▶ Powers are not removed or dulled down, and summoning is a-ok, however massive damage to the building or anything that severely effects other players must be plotted out with the mods and will not last. The barrier itself is indestructible, while damage to the building regenerates after 24 hours. Your character can even learn magic from other characters if they're willing to teach!

▶ Apart from the monthly events, players can also inflict suffering on their own characters by means of rooms with special effects! We've had people turn into children, be forced into dresses and even get dogpiled with literal dogs!

▶ We're a little slow at the moment, but our playerbase is friendly and welcoming. We don't have a chatroom, but if you're the type that prefers to interact closely with the other players and plot things out over AIM or plurk, just let us know!

You awake in dim room. It does not matter what you were doing before you came here, because you are here now. The walls are polished copper, covered in engravings and lines of numbers. Before you is a behemoth of a contraption-- It is clunky, all brass and bolts and hissing pipes, but screens and keyboards lend the idea that it’s some sort of computer. Connected to it via heavy cables and wires is a woman with burnished gold skin.

“I. Am Veloxia.” Her speech is broken and rusty. “I. Need you. To fix me.”

The windows of the tower reveal a shining city spreading out in every direction. Where you are isn’t nearly as important as what you need to do.

Veloxia welcomes you to her city of Promitto.

Veloxia Is a pan-fandom, steampunk-themed, girls-only game. The overarching plot is to fix the super computer Veloxia who has malfunctioned so she may do her duty to see Promitto prosper. She has pulled your character from their homeworld to help her. But the city of Promitto is abandoned for unknown reasons. It could have something to do with the element Ellenium that powers Veloxia, or it could have an entirely different cause. This game intends to allow for a wide range of things, from romance to slice-of-life to a little adventure and horror.

Nothing. It seems like forever, then suddenly, there is light. All around you stand the buildings of a futuristic paradise. It echoes emptily, yet water flows and electricity hums. By your side stands a strange doctor explaining already even though you've just woken up, and offering what people of the modern day will note is similar to a smart phone. Ringing quite impatiently, a voice waits on the other side: "You've arrived. Welcome to our game..."

The multi-verse stands just as surely as people imagine it. Its inhabitants are beings so beyond our mortal scope and ability to behold that they are simply known as gods. We give them a great many names, and imagine them in a great many ways. The only thing everyone can agree on, for the most part, is that they exist. They are our creators, our caretakers, and most prominently, our game masters. We exist for their amusement, and have, from time to time, played parts in a great many of their games. As it stands, three gods that preside over one particular floor of the multi-verse have invited the others for a game of amusement, laying the ultimate trap by invoking the other gods' pride when their game had been declined: "It's perfectly understandable if you think our creations can best yours."

So now you are a pawn in a game. The game is oft spoken of, but never mentioned in detail. Reminders lay everywhere, and for those few that think their gods have abandoned them and left them to their own fate, there are reminders they are everywhere as well. Plots to overthrow these three would-be game masters are in the works with traps having been carefully lain, and all that needs added is the final ingredient: pawns.

3step_paradise is a panfandom roleplay set in the futuristic city of Paradise, a place where the gods play a game with player characters serving as their pawns. Characters can be brought into the game by their god without any explanation, be working with their god as an Advocate, or even arrive on their own terms in some cases. The city isn't the only location, though: just outside the walls is the Outerland, a dangerous, changing landscape yet to be fully explored.

The Bastion

Designed by talented mechanics, the Bastion was meant to be both a sanctuary and a defense mechanism at once. Should the world ever fall into war, the Bastion could be activated, giving refugees a safe place to flee to. The Bastion was meant to be self-monitoring, and could take care of all the needs of its population without any interference.

However, nobody expected the Calamity. Millions perished in the blink of an eye, and the world itself was torn to shreds. All that remains is the Skyway, a collection of floating lands that occupy the space once inhabited by an entire world. The Calamity was so terrible that the Bastion itself was damaged, and it lacks the power necessary to repair itself.

In order to repair the Bastion, characters will have to search for Cores on the Skyway. They provide the power necessary for the Bastion to repair itself, and each Core brings the Bastion one step closer to being 100% operational. Until then, everyone who survived the Calamity will have to work together to survive and keep the monsters of the Skyway out of the Bastion, or else the last sanctuary of mankind will fall to the horrors that lurk outside its borders.

The Bastion is a panfandom, plot-heavy game set in the world of Bastion with a focus on the consequences of choices made by the characters within the game. Characters will be able to shape the setting as they see fit, and ultimately it is up to them to repair the Bastion and make a new home for all living creatures. You do not have to have played Bastion to app into this game.

· While there are some slice-of-life elements in it, this is primarily a plot-driven game.

· Game-wide events are designed to fit into the over-arching plot of Bastion.
· Plot-related events happen once every four-to-six weeks. Smaller, mini-events happen in-between those.
· Actions characters take will have an effect on the game itself. Both positive and negative consequences can come from choices made.
· The game has a set ending point. There are several different possible endings to the game, depending on the choices characters make.
· Prior knowledge of Bastion is not necessary; all important terms and game locations are described on the information pages.
· Teamwork is required for survival.

A thin line connects each dimension, each world, each human, animal and plant. These lines all connect and form the nexus web - that maintains, sustains and creates life energy. The life energy flows from the Nexus World and death energy flows back in to it to be reborn again.

This never ending cycle has come under threat and the spirit energy of the Nexus World needs help. Those who wish to destroy the Nexus Web and pull apart the seams of the dimensions and worlds have inadvertently given the Nexus hope. By attempting to change the very essence of the web, souls sometimes get pulled inside and attracted to the Nexus World.

As these souls do not belong naturally to the Nexus World, they reawaken and find themselves in a Temple.

Those of the Nexus World all feed the web with life energy and for the newcomers, the same is asked of them. However, the Temple Elders all understand that these newcomers did not arrive here by their own will as those who lived here previously did. They, therefore, created a reward system so that if enough life energy could be created in their central and pivotal world, they would sacrifice the energy required to send them back.

If your character does not want to feed the life energy, they can still carve out a happy existence in the Nexus without pressure to give a helping hand.

Welcome to the world of Pokemon...
And the lands of Wishgranter Island, known to the residents as a land where the Gracidean Flowers bloom. It clearly isn't where you were the day before - or, even the moment before. Inside the halls of the Flower Point Guild, you awaken to a strange avian-like Pokemon - a Togekiss, she says.
And... wait. Is that a paw? Or a tail? You've become a Pokemon, it seems! Why? All you remember is an odd dream, being tickled by feathers and hearing pleas for help. At least, for now, Togekiss has offered you a home and a place in the guild.
Will you become an explorer, and try and find a way home? Or will you live your life as a Pokemon?

Gracidean is a panfandom, AU and OC-friendly roleplay set in the world of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. Characters are turned into Pokemon, brought to a world untouched by humans, and sent out to live or explore this new world. Many mysteries await for whoever is brought into the world. There is going to be a strong emphasis on the plot, and the game is set to last roughly around 1.2 years, or four in-game months. There is also a 4:1 OOC:IC time scale.

You wake up suddenly - which is odd, since you don’t remember ever having been asleep. You’re in some sort of brightly lit town - or city, it’s hard to tell - and the little white winged-pompom-bear thing in front of you seems to want your attention. It introduces itself as a moogle, calls you kupo half a dozen times, gives you a small bag of what it deems necessary items, and explains that you’ve woken up in a world called Traverse Town...except you haven’t really woken up at all. As a world, Traverse Town is still asleep, and so are you. Welcome to the realm of dreams.

Revenance is a panfandom game based on Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance. While it’d be nice to have some knowledge of Kingdom Hearts, you definitely don’t need it in order to play. Revenance is relatively open-ended: characters can choose a more slice-of-life experience, can focus on raising or training Dream Eaters, or can become involved in the unfolding story, which will take more of an action-adventure bent.

You wake up in a bright white bedroom in a lengthy twin bed. The sheets are stiff and the pillow is harder than it looks. An entire wall is made of glass and you can't tell where the door might be hidden in it. Your clothes are your own and you still have everything on you before you arrived here. You don't seem to have been touched at first glance, but there's a stiff pain in the side of your neck. A quick glance in the mirror shows an injection site - a round bruise roughly the size of a dime. It's then that the glass wall flickers on like a television screen. A man (or at least they appear to be a man) dressed in a white lab coat smiles at you, ready to give you a little information on what is going on.

Proxima Beta is a panfandom science fiction/fantasy sex game set in a man made world in an unknown universe. While it appears that the world is a massive island, it is encased in a large dome, the sky made of projectors that mimic various weather patterns, but can also be used to make large announcements as a giant television screen that everyone will notice. The island is free to travel at will, with a vast amount of varying wild life that some may not even find familiar to anything they've seen in their own worlds.

The dome is a world made by scientists running a group of social experiments for purposes they seem currently unwilling to share. Each experiment runs for approximately two weeks - some longer, some shorter, but there's always only one way to stop them; to participate in some form of sexual contact with another affected member of the island. Experiments are often done in groups, but individualized unique tests have also been known to commonly happen inside the dome. Those who fail to participate in the experiments assigned to them will be given a shot of heavy aphrodisiacs to encourage them to complete their tasks. Those who participate willingly will be given rewards; a trinket from home or constant access to their powers from their own worlds.

All new arrivals will have a chip inserted into their neck. The chip seems to be incapable of being removed, though those who wish to test the theory can certainly try their best to find willing participants. They are the source of the scientists abilities to control their experiments and they will do everything in their power to make sure that their tests subjects are unable to tamper with their results.

Proxima Beta is friendly to previous game memories as well as original characters. Applications open the 1st and Reserves open the 15th of every month.

Premise
For the past few years, the world has become more and more temporally unstable. Rifts in time and space have started opening up all around the world, letting things slip through. Things like monsters, aliens, weird artifacts, strange people from different universes... and you. Dropped onto the busy island of Manhattan, will you side with the agency working to protect the Earth from dangerous supernatural beings, join the rebellion and fight for freedom, or walk your own path? Will you just try to live your life and keep out of trouble, or will you be the one causing the trouble? You open your eyes. It feels like you've been sleeping for so long. Your last memories are hazy at best, but slowly coming into focus. You're lying in a large cocoon of polished silver metal, lined with silk and soft padding, with the sound of lapping water all around you. It appears to be a cavern, dimly illuminated with white lights glowing in the shallow pool. There's a slight weight on your chest. It's a box. Inside is a jeweled necklace of gold and opalescent stones, what appears to be a walkie-talkie with a video screen, and a pamphlet. The pamphlet states simply:

'Welcome to Genessia'

It explains the device, calling it a videophone, with easy instructions about how to communicate via text, audio, and/or video, and how to transmit privately, and encourages you to give it a try once you leave the Bay. The necklace, it goes on further to explain, is required in order to pass from Genessia to one of the other four cities, and should be worn at all times not only to allow this transportation, but to identify the owner as 'real'. The last page has a thick manila folder, where several red bills are stacked and bound by a white ribbon. The pamphlet tells you that this is the main currency for Genessia, in order to purchase room, board, and other necessities. It encourages you to apply for a job in order to earn more.

Everyone has a part to play in the city, and the cities beyond. Will you accept your role? Or is there more to Genessia and its strange assortment of inhabitants who have been drawn here from all across the universe?
