bear with me because this is an off-the-beaten-path game, but you should consider bringing regina to [community profile] knightsoflegend.

the game is hugely plot-oriented because it's based off of a d&d campaign that the mod ran via tabletop initially for years. d&d style character sheets and dice-rolling is an optional but REALLY FUN part of the game which helps determined character abilities, battle outcomes, etc.

characters fall through the veil and lose an amount of memory that you determine (could be anywhere from something tiny like her mother's name to forgetting daniel or henry entirely, or forgetting her whole life pre-storybrooke, etc.), the goal of which is to make characters stop actively trying to go back through the veil to their own world. basically, however much you deem is necessary to make them stop actively fighting for that, because it never happens in this game world. characters who are dropped are simply rendered inactive and cannot be apped by anyone else unless that same player chooses to bring them back. no one ever goes home, so the memory loss component is to make that easier.

once they arrive in the world of kol - which is like our world, but merged with magical elements that have been coming through the veil historically; very urban arcana, very awesome for ouat characters - they are recruited by the knights of the silver dragon, and are sent away on missions according to their skills. regina could cast some seriously awesome magic as a d&d-style wizard (wizards learn via spellbooks vs sorcerers who have innate magic). there's a "main plotline" mission that, as it progresses, is spreading out to incorporate other mission teams as well, and those tertiary missions are always tailor made to foster character growth for the people who are sent on them and contribute in the long-term to the main storyline of the game.

there is no activity check, but rather, threading is rewarded via and experience point system for helping characters to level up (handy if you do choose the character sheet/dice rolling option, and still stress-free if you don't). in terms of ouat characters, we have: emma, hook, gold, belle, charming, snow, and peter pan.

Oh my. Tabletop. You are singing the song of my people. And memory loss would be fairly interesting for Regina, in terms of potential growth into a slightly less awful person.

I will absolutely take a look, and see if it's something I could make a go of - given the drop rules, I wouldn't want to take a shot at it if I felt iffy on things.

ahhhh i'm so glad to hear it's something interesting for you IT'S ALWAYS HIT OR MISS AHA BC IT'S A STRANGE SYSTEM. our test drive memes are eternal bc everyone tracks them for top comments until the new one goes up every like ... year ... lmfao. so if you wanna hit that to try it out i guarantee it'll get traction (it's from like 01/2013 but it has new threads from this month even still so DON'T BE AFRAID).

and if you have any questions/etc. as you're looking through stuff (navigation is in [community profile] theround, the ooc comm) i'm more than happy to answer them and assist c:

and regina would be AMAZING bc emma forgot henry (and has been told she did) and it would just be 100 kinds of upsetting, and rumple has forgotten his whole fairytale life, and ugh, great things ok GREAT THINGS)

Hi!

Our MCU cast over at [community profile] box_network would absolutely kill for a Clint. We're all super backtag friendly, with an awesome overarching plot. It's horror-based, based on the movie Cabin in the Woods.

We've got a test drive over here, and apps opened yesterday!

If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

How's the pacing? I've heard people call it everything from slowish-medium to super-fast.

I'd call it a steady medium paced. It gets a bit faster during events, but what game doesn't, right?

Hey! I could imagine several of your characters might make for an interesting fit at [community profile] tartarusnet. Ruby here is a lone OUAT muse there, so Regina would be in great company that would be oh so happy to see her (... just roll with me here). The game is set in the Underworld, where Themis pulls characters and punishes them for their sins and crimes by inflicting various horrible events upon them, often inspired by horror movies, games, books. Players have influence on the outcome of these events, and there's an overarching plot that players can influence, too.

And on another note, I also have an Abbie Mills muse >.>

I actually think I used to play there before the move to DW; the premise sounds pretty familiar, at least. (And I can see why Ruby might want to see Regina there, considering...)

Entirely possible! I believe the game was running under the name Underworld Wars back then?
See, it would be such a win-win. Ruby would see Regina suffer. Regina would see Ruby suffer. In between, Regina can hang at the diner and mock Ruby for the company she keeps which... includes a 30 foot tall wolf.

[community profile] thebastion hits most of those preferences. The only not-so-much-a-yes is that there's slow moments in-between events that can get slice-of-lifeish, but ultimately that depends on what you have your characters do during that downtime.

Also, we have an AU Zuko, so Lin would have a canonmate!

Doesn't quite look like my cup of tea, but thank you for the recommendation.

I have casts to offer you for both Lin and Clint over at [community profile] tushanshu!

We're also super friendly to backtagging and we have an evolving plot that's introducing a new element (Missions) starting in March that will very likely fulfill the opportunity for both player and mod driven action for you! Our game ad and test drive meme are both posted if you want to check us out. :)
