One of two things just happened. Nasty little imps dragged you through their tunnels in a sack or charming pixies coaxed you into their fairy ring to transport you willingly. Either way, they tell you that you are Important and Precious. A Shard of a sacred gemstone, the Uaine Cridhe, lives within you and has been growing there for some time, since before you were born. It belongs to the Drabwurld, they say; that is, this world, the Realm Between All Realms.

You are in Allaidh Darach, summoned to one of two royal courts: Seelie and Unseelie.

Depending where you stand on the Harmony vs. Chaos scale, the King and Queen of your respective kingdom has deemed it is time to bring you here before the Shard of the gemstone begins to crumble. It cannot survive in your land but the magic in the air here allows it to run through your blood without fear of wasting away. You don't feel any different, you say? Of course not! You are, as the imps and fairies mentioned, a precious commodity. There is a war raging between the Seelie and Unseelie courts, one that threatens the lives of all in your faction, for should the opposing side manage to kill you (or land a grievous wound!) the Shard in your breast will dislodge and fall to the floor, free for the taking and leaving you an outcast of your court (the Drabwurld is very large though, surely you will make a life for yourself ... somehow). Once enough Shards are collected and connected, the balance of power will tip. When their forces have destroyed enough of yours, if you are still alive it will not be a happy ending for you or your own world. However, should you find yourself on the triumphant side, you will not only become a great legend in your own right but you will keep your life — and you will finally be sent home, unharmed.

It is your duty to fight to stay alive and to slay as many Seelie or Unseelie agents as possible. If you do not, you and all that you love will be destroyed. For good.

Welcome to the Drabwurld, where losing a battle is nothing and winning the war is everything.

Eachdraidh is a PANDFANDOM, action/adventure community-based game influenced by Scottish, English, Welsh and Irish mythology. Your character will find themselves enlisted by either the Seelie or the Unseelie courts in order to fight a battle that has reached a stalemate. Characters may find themselves fighting against friends or family, or may even find themselves residing in neutral territories, shying away from the battles.

Whatever the case may be, they won't be leaving any time soon.
