okay i know im pressing the bounds here, but if there is a CHANCE you MIGHT change your mind about dark settings, im just gonna slide havenrpg your way, because we absolutely love our sports anime and i would personally love a sugawara around - but if not, the came might spark your interest for the other two?

havens a medium paced game with events once a month that last about a week (we've had longer ones here and there), so that should be alright for your plot pace. also super back tag friendly, and for the other setting requirements is perfect. weve got a small pjo cast, nothing from in the flesh, and a reserve for noya right now. ive been there a while so if you have questions lemme know!

TBH, i haven't played sports anime characters before and i just wasn't sure how he'd fare in a dark setting?? since it's so very.... different from canon lmao. but if you'd like to share your experience with mako (since they're both the sweet, cheerful type), i'd love to know how it's been!

i was also in haven for like .5 seconds (about a month) and found it a tad fast for my schedule since the event was definitely a longer one, but i wouldn't be averse to checking it out again.

if it was the event that was like 3(?) months ago ill give you that, the event went kind of fast for me also because school had just started for me. i know a couple of people who had just apped in around that time and got washed over w the last big event, it was definitely a hard one to integrate into from what i saw. if it was a while ago, i *THINK* haven has since slowed down, but i wasn't in game last year.

/deep breath!!!/ okay without getting too into detail, i obviously enjoyed it a lot! he was also my first sports anime, this was my second horror game for him, ive been in haven 11 months now w makoto, and while it was HARD in some respect, it was also a lot of fun because i *love* character development. a lot of my time in haven was slowly developing him or trying to figure out how to develop him. basically i fared 2 months w a considerably scared makoto and me stomping around trying to figure out where i wanted to take him; 4 months with a seasonably depressed makoto but looking to improve himself so that he could survive in haven and protect his friends; and then the next two months was some kind of soft, teddy bear version of "fUCK THE SySTEM" and makoto finally overcoming his fears or something - so it took me about 8 months to get him to a stable point... which was a blast for me, and now i have makoto at a point where hes probably closer to canon than he was while he was depressed and terrified; but he's also different in that now he's OK to fight if it means saving his friend's lives. these days its playing a beacon of hope, sort of, and just trying to cheer folks up so they can make it too.

it's a weird adventure, ill give you that, but if you like storytelling, or character development, or whatever, i really recommend horror games in general!!! but... im also really bad at SoL games, so i could be terribly bias.

i think at this time i may have to have to take a bit more time to consider haven before apping or anything. i know there's no cookie-cutter experience in rp, but hitting that depressed/feeling useless mark too quick for suga is a worry of mine. especially if he ends up without a cast (which i normally don't mind) - it might be even harder??

maybe in the future if i feel like i can handle it better, i might take another look!

i get that! the first horror game i threw makoto in was also a different experience entirely and he had no castmates, so who can say. if you can get a good grasp of suga you should def give it a shot, and we might even have castmates for you by then! however it is, gl with suga, im always happy to see sports moms running around (and im glad to see all these haikyuus popping up o///o )

i definitely will keep it in mind!! and thank you C: i'm super happy to see all the haikyuus and sports anime characters in general and it makes me excited to play them as well. (if you ever drop mako on a meme or something, maybe we'll get a chance to have the sports moms meet!)

If you'd be interested in any SoL games, hollyheights has its fair share of sports characters. It's a fun game with sometimes cracky events and it's medium pace most of the time. It rises during some events, but it depends on what kind of event and the time of the year, really.
