Eachdraidh is a fairly medium-paced, open-world, comm-based game that's big in the fantasy genre. Characters are brought into either the Seelie or Unseele courts to join an ancient big dealie battle of Order vs. Chaos, and power loss doesn't really apply except for things that could be hugely game-breaking or OP (Korra can't access the Avatar State, for example). AC is really easy at 5 consecutive log comments or 10 consecutive network comments a month, and there's usually a monthly plot event from the mods. Participating in plot events allows muns to choose a monthly boon for their character, which can run the full gamut of possibilities (powers, gold, items from home, animal companions, etc). I've found that there's a lot of room for player involvement with metaplot and world-building, and the mods are super involved! There's even a court influence roster and chances to ask for solo quests to build up a character's standing!
Or they can walk off into the world to explore and decide not to bother with any of this court nonsense. Pacing can vary for individual characters depending on their CR circle and what they end up poking their noses into, so there's wiggle room to sort of set your own speed depending on what you're up for.
Apps just closed until sometime in January, unfortunately, but I still wanted to maybe point you our way for when they open, if you think it might be a good fit! Especially since we had kind of a mad rush on reserves this past round and an app cap needed to be put into order. If it doesn't seem like your style, that's totally understandable!
