Such a sweet deal! I wonder if I can stir up any interest in cyclicality. It's a relatively new canon-based game based in the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender / The Legend of Korra, set in the timeframe of the latter series. Characters can be transplanted from their original universes or AUed into the Avatar world (with bending optional!). It's been at a slow-medium vibe for the most part and it is very backtag friendly. AC is 15 comments per month that can be split between at least two threads.

Right now it seems to have room to support a variety of tones- there is slice-of-lifiness but there's also room for player plots and mod-run plots which involve both political happenings and spirit hijinks. Also it's currently possible to openly explore the world of Avatar so that could be could for a pair of swashbuckling dorks. If you have any further questions, I'll be glad to deal with them.
