Give me a bit to put it all together in a Google Doc or something, I will link that to you later! I would really love to discuss the plot of Meine Liebe II someday, because wow.

Though I assume one could say that it's easy enough to headcanon that at least some of the boys and girls are aquainted off-screen in anime-verse. The secretary thing is obviously not possible, but Augusta's and Ed's families are aquainted and the same probably goes for Minna's and Ludwig's hmmh...
I'm so sad that Erika in the anime seems to hang with different friends, man. All because Augusta and Marie have impossible hair I'm sure.

Yeah, that would be possible. And Ed and Augusta is still in the same club, too, which would give them even more reason for off-screen interaction.
It would have been amazing to see all the girls animated. It's a real shame they didn't even get any cameo's.

I mean, I'm glad they took the romance element out of the anime so it ended up plot and character development rather than reserve harem, but the lack of girls is always sad.

Oh, awesome! Though yes, it's definitely long... It's on 200 pages and still loading, right now. And I'll be looking for Ed's route first of all, then.

Yes, the anime is good as it is but only making one of the girls (although she is the most important one) appear at all is sad.
Erika is the biggest concern with it though, since she and Ed find each other in the manga, but not in the anime. I wonder how that should be gone about...

I suppose one could handwave the manga plot happening past the anime's plot? Since Erika is around and maybe just hasn't gotten the chance to get closer to Ed yet, hmh... Though that is iffy on the different character developments and would require a lot of headcanoning to make the verses add up. I suppose the cleanest choice would be to go with them not having found each other yet in anime-verse...

Ooh, yes. I would like to see the whole sister-hunt play out. I'd take Augusta from a point before they figure it, too, then, haha.

Augusta and Ed would also end up confused about their realities half-way but not quite aligning, too, though, haha.

That's also fun, though. Differences makes such amusing confusion for the characters.
