Would you be open to an AU game? I'd absolutely love to see Spike at [community profile] undergrounds. It's a modern-day urban fantasy game, so BtVS characters would fit right in! The game is more logs-focused (there is no network community), and I'd say that so far it's a nice mix of CR building and plot.

Here's our game ad if you'd like more info on the premise!

Sounds interesting! So if I understand this correctly, it's an always-AU thing? Like, characters you app are FROM that world originally. I've never done anything like that, because characters like Spike are SO other-focused it's hard to know who they are when they aren't defining themselves against the other characters. Hmm, I will have to think about that!

Yep, that's right! It doesn't necessarily mean throwing his canon background out altogether, because you can adapt it to the setting of the game. Characters like Buffy, Drusilla, etc can still be presumed to exist in the AU, it's just a matter of adapting the character's history to fit the setting. If it helps, you could try looking at the taken list and checking the applications of any characters you're familiar with to see how they adapted their canon to the game.
