Hi there! I wonder if you're familiar with futurology? It's a relatively new game which seems to fit your preferences!

It is indeed mission-based - basically characters have been drafted into helping this organization called ALISTAIR in going to different locations and different times to complete missions in order to protect the timeline. Each mission is supposed to last several months I believe, and the current one involves finding a way to resolve a conflict between humans and goblins in a fantasy setting while also trying to find a way to restore the sun, which happens to have gone out.

It is a backtag-friendly game and so far is has moved at a fairly slow-medium pace. There has been a good amount of log action too, although I'm not sure offhand if I'd say it outweighs the network's activity or not. What else? OCs are indeed allowed! And out of all of your offerings, the only one with cast would be Amethyst. It is indeed a small one, with my Steven as well as a Pearl and Peridot (all of us are pre-Catch and Release, by the way).

There is actually a test drive currently and apps should open on December 1st! If you have any other questions, feel free to let me know!

I've eyeballed futurology before! It definitely fits in line with my preferences but I missed the last test drive meme and the limited app slots made me think I should have other options lined up. I'll give the test drive a look for sure though.

melodiesoflife is a Final Fantasy-based game that fits your criteria for just about every positive, though I'll warn that it's likely more slow than medium, except during events. It has a castmate each for Scarlet and Utena, and I've also been wondering about putting SU Peridot in here in the future. c:

openspace is a science-fantasy game that's just getting off the ground. It has an over-arching mod plot with a mechanism for lots of player plots, and it has no network. It's new so... you have small or no cast! (OCs are only allowed if they were born in the setting, though, sorry!)

The first TDM is up now if you'd care to give us a shot!

Completely and utterly late to this, but I am trying to lure people into a couple different games...

On one side of the spectrum, there's hfm_ooc - which I'm mostly bringing up for Amythest. We've got Rose, we've got Steven, we've got Greg, and we've got Peridot... and that's it.

The cast list in general is small, but tends to group up in fandoms right now. It's definitely slow paced, with an easy AC.

The basic idea behind it is that people have been drawn into a new world in order to fight a force that takes the form of dark creatures - using magical powers that they've been granted for the purpose. These powers replace whatever powers they previously had.


...Then, on the complete opposite side of the spectrum, is townofsalem. That one's also slow, light AC, and has no real casts. But it's also a mixture of horror, and smut, and monster transformations. It's fun, but definitely not for everyone.

I'm glad you asked~ The mod team got new blood last month, so thing have been shifting pretty dramatically.

This month, the town's been attacked by a dragon-lady. Some people signed up to be kidnapped, and others are either fleeing for their lives or launching a rescue mission depending on their personalities.

Last month, we had a weather event where winds from the forest blew in some pollen from the dryads, creating lust and trying to lure people into the forest. (...Bad idea. Dryads might show you a good time, but they'll also feed you to their trees.)

Day to day things are mostly player driven right now: people are dealing with their gradual transformations, trying to find out the true cause behind their affliction, trying to find a cure...

But the metaplot is getting ready to kick off in a big way. How things will progress will depend on how the people react.

To be honest, we hit a slow patch when our founder got side swiped by real life. With the new mods, though, things are taking off again and we're trying to build the player base up again. Also, there might be an Erza there, who might be me, who might be turning into a two inch fairy. If you've ever wanted to see that.
