HENCE FOR KINDNESS TO THE MASS OF LIVING BEINGS, WE MUST FLY FOR REFUGE IN THE DOCTRINE OF CARVAKA

You don't know it yet, but somebody has broken this world and hidden it from you — hidden the death of everything around you, covered the world up with lies and pretty memories, cut away the destruction they accidentally inflicted and tried to deny. But they couldn't turn their eyes from the truth forever, and in the end, reality made itself felt: the world has already rotted away at its core. You were living amidst the decay all along — you just never realized it until now. But how could you have missed something so obvious?

Because you didn't believe it was real.

Carvaka is a sex game with a survival/adventure style and an ongoing metaplot. Characters are not transported to the setting, but wake up to familiar surroundings. Familiar, but decaying and ruined, as if no one has been around them in years. This is the true state of their home, and accepting or not, they're the only ones who can fix things.

Features:

☆ Heavy exploration and discovery elements and a world that’s influenced by what characters choose to make of it ☆
☆ "Manipulation of reality through belief." i.e. things become true if you believe in them hard enough. A natural NPC ability, and the root of what ruined the world—now yours, in the hands of any character coming in without powers. Characters with powers of their own get to keep theirs instead ☆

Oh...I'd be interested in offering a Tiki. I'll read through the game info and toss something up in the test drive in case any castmates would like to poke her.

Wanted characters: EVERYONE! Must be 16+, though. Aoba (from a 16+ canon point), Shinra, Celty, Shizuo, Akabayashi, Rocchi, Kadota, Karisawa and Yumasaki (powers of belief with those two!)... just everybody. Give us Simon, I don't even care. Eat sushi.

So uh. I have this creeper who I'm very rusty with but am intermittently tempted to throw into the game because of the cast you guys are cultivating. I tend to play him from the Dollars arc just before Mika reveals she's not Celty's head, which I realize is waaaaaay early in the series but considering how minor he is, it seems like the easiest canon point to play him from looking at a development standpoint. I may throw him in the TDM if any canonmates might want at him -- I already have another character there right now -- but anything with him is super-tentative.

Hahasob, Seiji! Because this game clearly needs more crazies. I would be totally happy to inflict Masaomi on the poor guy if you wanna try him out, though I imagine he would run far, far away.

I think crazies come hand-in-hand with this canon, haha. But yes! If you're free and willing, I'd be cool with Masaomi. If anything, Seiji might accost him and demand where Mikado is since "Celty" ran off with him and Seiji's none too happy about losing his girl like that.

That's what makes this canon so wonderful, let's be honest. I'm heading to bed for the night, but I'll be around tomorrow and Tuesday! Have fun, whatever you decide!

Super-tentative is cool, I'm sure we'd all love to have you! I'd be thrilled to see how a character like Seiji develops in a setting like that, especially with him being... the way he is. XD Exciting stuff!

Thanks! To be honest, I'm still struggling with that, and that's part of why I never did anything with him. I don't imagine any of his encounters being romantic in any case. He'd probably only keep at it in hopes his "beloved" finally arrives or something. Obsessed much? Trying to figure his deal out either way, haha...

Yeah, I'm sure it's hard to make him work, but it'd be glorious! And you never know, just talking to people etc. could end up influencing him - at least a little.

Somehow I imagined an event where Seiji ends up wishing for the head so much that everyone in the settlement - male, female, and everything else - suddenly ends up with Celty's head instead of their own. What a nice mental image.

Ahhhhh oh gosh I'd be happy to throw Anri at him if you put him on the tdm! ~~I'm just a little bit sorry that I don't play Namie here now~~ ANYWAY gosh I'd love to have him. There's never enough creepy or crazy for a Durarara!! cast.

Thanks, that'd be awesome, but only do so if you can spare the time! Namie and Seiji CR in this kind of setting would be something. But Anri is also good, and Seiji would like cheer for her and Mikado in the sidelines or something, heh. He's all about dat TRUUUUUE LOOOOOOVE being destiny and stuff.
