I recced this to Steven but, repeating myself down here: would you be interested in an AU Pokémon game? bravenewworld meets your requirements - plus Connie could both raise monster friends and, if you wanted, gain Pokémon abilities herself. The setting is huge so there's lots of freedom to play around in the world and just have fun with Pokémon, but there's also an overarching plot (angry Legendaries, culture clashes between cities, etc.) if you wanted to get involved in that!

You're welcome! It's not always happy funtimes, so fair warning there (the Legendaries are kind of on the fence about humanity so they act out now and then - plus not all the human civilizations are friendly), but for the most part it's full of players who want to build a world together and have fun doing it. I'd love to see any combination of your characters, so I hope you keep liking what you read!
