synodiporia might float your boat - the premise involves visiting a number of AUs, but you don't have to fit your character to the AU settings if you don't want to. Otherwise it hits all your requirements.

Even castmates of one form or another! The only Star Wars we have at present is Jaina Solo; YJ-wise there's Zatanna and I believe Dick, and... if you happen to play from P3P, we have a Minako who'd love to have another SEES person around, especially one who knows her.

Hello! Can I offer you tushanshu? We've got some Star Wars characters already on reserve, and we've also got a Young Justice Zatanna in game!

We're a little bit on the slower side of medium but we're exceptionally backtag friendly. We've got a regular metaplot that's ongoing, although there's downtime between events. We've just started a big event called a landfall, which tend to happen a few times a year.

Hey there! If you're okay with fantasy and swapping out powers (though home ones can be regained), I play Minato over at melodiesoflife, a Final Fantasy-inspired game which has an active plot centered around saving the world and their own worlds by extension. The worldbuilding is extensive, and player actions effectively change the course of the story. It fits all your criteria, especially with backtag friendliness! As an added bonus, its AC is very simple and easy. Apps won't be opening again for a while yet, but test drive should be up in a couple weeks.

A while back at MoM they had a Ms Martian, Beast boy, Kid Flash and Robin from YJ.

Lost Martian and BB. Pretty sure Robin and Kid would like a new Castmate to join them in the fight against the soviets.

tl;dr - Various characters have been kidnapped across time and space... to be brainwashed into super famous musicians. However, slowly, they're starting to get their memories back. On the other end of things, rescuers have been recruited- because of a kidnapped castmate, because of altruism, because they were too drunk to refuse at the time- and are adjusting to the big strange city that is Vista.

You can app as either a rescuer or a musician now! It's not planned to be a short run game, but there's plenty to do and easy ways for people to get involved in the game.
