Oh! Hiccup.

This might work, (might not) but come check out The Fleet. It's a sci-fi setting that can be treated as a SoL but has a meta plot that characters can get involved in.

Hiccup wouldn't arrive with Toothless, but there are mechanisms in-game for getting things/pets from home.
