Kannagara

Kannagara is a panfandom game set in the ancient, mystical realm of the Shinto gods, where dreams and gods collide. Your character will have the ability to not only experience the dreams of other characters, but can also experience their worlds.

Your character will find themselves in a dimension that exists within the realm of the gods. The gods are unhappy with the state of humanity and have brought your character from any point within their canon into this world with the intent to teach your character a lesson about harmony. However, even the gods have a history of struggle with harmony -- wars have been fought, oppressions have occurred, and unjust actions have led to the fall and even deaths of some gods.

Your character will be arriving in a world caught between two opposing classes of deities: the ruling deities of the Celestial Plains, and the fallen gods and oni of Yomi. As your character struggles to understand why they have arrived in this world, they will find themselves caught -- and even torn -- between the two opposing forces that control the sacred space of Kannagara.

This Accident is a pan-fandom game (semi-survival) set in the city of Icarus. Once an empire, it now crumbles to stay together both physically, and mentally. Its citizens are struck constantly with clashes that range from morals, to status, to even cultural views. The government offers little to no help, only suppressing the fights when they swell past the point of tolerance. Your character has been brought to this place under the pretense that they will help to quell the conflicts and restore the city to what it once was. Of course, this is not an easy task.

If it wasn't enough on their plate, they run risk of not only death from the hostility of the citizens, but a disease which has no name, no cure, no known cause. Survival is the key to making it back home, with resolving the problems of Icarus coming next. Interactions with your character range from others who seem to share this goal of wishing to help, and the citizens of Icarus themselves. Make friends, make enemies, stay alive. This is where the choice comes in, as it narrows itself down the longer your character remains. Survive, help, find a way out of this place. So what will your character do? Every action brings you closer or farther.

There is a remote castle, large enough to host a town, elaborate with stonework, turrets, walkways, courtyards, and it is kidnapping people. The black Queen that controls the shadows needs life-- other lives-- to make herself immortal, and she is using yours. You are stuck here until you find a way to defeat her, and escape.

First you must explore the castle, whose doors will not open to individuals, only pairs or groups. You must find a weapon that will defeat the shadow monsters infesting everywhere, because nothing you can do will destroy them, just dissuade them. And if you do, eventually, escape...

Where is the way home?

Castle in the Mist is based on the PS2 game Ico, and has a structured setting with a loose plot that develops as players move things along. There is a planned sequel plot should this one run its course.

Smash Academy is a comm-based Super Smash Brothers "High School" game. However, we've recently opened up our doors to include Squareenix, Capcom, Atlus, Namco and Valve! Our game is small, pace is slow to moderate but picks up during events. We highly encourage player plots and there's also moderator-run events as well. cfud is GENERALLY a crack zombie camp with potential for many luls, but by no means is anybody obligated to stick to that, because with CR and events comes awesome events and potential for serious happenings and anything you want, really! It's a really open game with tons of potential to play around with ideas and do things that YOU feel like! It's a community-based commentspam game great to just jump into and get some CR going.

Like many games, CFUD is currently in transition to Dreamwidth, but we are moving soon and we're ready to just keep our play and spam on the moment we move. luceti is a medium-paced panfandom game, with an AC that's fairly easy and a lot of friendly users who are willing to backtag heavily if needed. The game is mainly slice-of-life, and just made the move from Livejournal to Dreamwidth.

Applications are open for a few more hours, though as that doesn't give anyone much time (especially during this time of year), you can always check out trainingwings or post during the upcoming fourth wall event. (keep an eye on lucetimods for the day that the event starts)

-Memory loss is pretty fun and you know, deep in your heart of hearts, that you want to try it at least once. Don't deny it.
-Characters get to bring in one aspect of their canon with them: this can be anything from something as small and personal as a wedding ring to something as big and insane as the Phantom Zone (no kneeling before Zod required) and anything in between!
-Characters also bring in monsters from their world, and if you like, you can go on wacky adventures fighting said monsters for memory regains!
-Or not, if that's not your thing at all! You could always get a real job and get regains that way!
-Or just bum off the kindness of others! Our local Justice League keeps a fund of memory regain plot coupons on hand for just this purpose!

A community-based, mid-sized, mid-paced game that speeds up around events. Planeocracy features many plots, with a good mix between moderator and player-run events. Characters arrive in Confuto Ordinatio when they fall through a mysterious gate in their world and become a member of CO in an effort to protect worlds from melding into one another. This means that any world represented (or previously represented) by a canon is fair game for your character to travel to or complete missions in. It’s panfandom, but also allows for well-developed OCs (from either an original work or a fandom – but only if they are unrelated to canon characters) and AUs!

Phantom Brave

We currently have Marona! I’d personally love to see a Walnut, Castile, or even an Endorph if… anyone is even familiar with both Phantom Brave and Soul Nomad. Ha.

A larger journal-based game that is mid to fast paced! Characters are dropped into the world of Pokémon, specifically the Johto region. As a Trainer, Breeder, or even a Rocket Grunt, they are allowed to capture Pokémon and travel from city to city, making friends along the way. Of course, with Team Rocket around, there are times when trouble is to be had… Features mod-run events every once in a while, but also a number of smaller-scale player-run ones as well!

Brave Story

I play Wataru from the novel and would basically love anyone who played anyone from this series ever. Even if it’s from the movie. Or the manga. Or the game. I’m only familiar with the movie and the novel but I am totally A-OK with canon and/or timeline confusion, since Wataru is from close to the end, but not quite. Most relevant to him would be Mitsuru Ashikawa, Meena, Kee Keema, Kutz, or Ronmel, but like I said, I'm not especially picky because few enough people play from this canon as it is ;w;

Hibiki's Magic

This is such a long shot but... I have one Asuma from just a bit before he saved Misaki back in their youth. I would absolutely squee to have anyone from his series, particularly Misaki, but also Hibiki or Ahito or even Shiraasan. I can provide icons for pretty much any of them if you need them. Seriously.

A smallish, slowish-paced, community-based Persona roleplay! Characters wake up to find themselves on the island of Prospero in the USA, and gain Personas with which to battle against Shadows, who all seem to be stemming from a certain building in town during an hour that shouldn't exist... Features Shadows appearing in the Dark Hour every night, wacky day time social links hijinks, and monthly events in the form of Arcana-specific Shadow boss fights that also tend to affect people in the real world for a time leading up to the actual full-moon battle!

I play Tatsuma_Hiyuu from the anime here! He is of the Fool Arcana in Personaverse, and has the Persona Kohryu because yaaay plot relevancy. I would be totally psyched to get a Tokyo Majin cast rolling, since it seems very easy to convert to Personaverse. I'm looking mostly for a Kyouichi Horaiji, Aoi Mistao, Komaki Sakurai, Yuuya Daigo, or Hisui Kisaragi. But really, I'd be happy with whoever because everyone is awesome in Tokyo Majin! Tatsuma is from the end of the first season, canon-wise, but I don't mind canonmates from other points in time, too!

One day, you decided to get up, get some coffee, lay in front of a bulldozer to stop your house from being demolished, and so on and so forth. The next thing you know, there's a space crater where your world used to be, and you're onboard the S.S. Thor! A giant space ship that looks like a turtle and flies like one too. Soon, you're visiting different planets monthly and providing menial tasks to gain enough money just in case you're able to find Magrathea and are able to restore your planet up to working order!

Also, the improbability drive does stuff every month. Does any of this sound familiar? It should, gargleblasted is a game based on Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy! It's community based and kinda on the big side, but it's extremely fun and us? Well, we're harmless Mostly Harmless.

We're in the middle of voting as to whether or not to go to Dreamwidth, so if you don't want to be on LJ, we may be moving soon so you never know!

itsjustagamerp is is a panfandom Mystery Science Theater 3000 roleplaying game combined with a sporking community. A knowledge of MST3K is helpful but not necessary to play in the game. It’s Just A Game is primarily crack in a slice-of-life setting, but with some adventure/exploration on the side as the game progresses.

It’s Just A Game allows any characters from any medium, including very cracky or unusual canons, as long as they are canon-based. Characters are encouraged to raise morale through humor and various activities in the face of a variety of crack-flavored events, with the hope that raising morale high enough will enable them to return home. Players are especially encouraged to sign their characters up as participants in the bi-weekly sporking sessions, which drive the premise of the game. However, players are not required to spork in order to play in the game.

I'm too lazy and not nearly capable enough to make this fancy, so uh, here goes anyway?

As apps are now open for the following week, I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome any and all Gundam fans to Gora, a game based within the Loveless universe.

In Loveless, people are generally classified by one of two characters: Fighters, and Sacrifices. Together with their Sacrifices, Fighters engage in duels of words. Words are power in Loveless and serve to bond Fighters and Sacrifices together.

While not much of the background plot has been revealed, the Loveless universe is definitely an interesting one. No knowledge of the canon is required, either! Both the mods and playerbase have been extremely helpful and even though the game hasn't started yet, the atmosphere has been incredibly welcoming.

This game would be a great one for anyone looking for a fresh start on Dreamwidth. As I noted, in particular, I would love to see anyone and everyone from the Gundam franchise there! Anyone from Zeta to SEED would be a great addition, and I'm willing to help out however I can, be it with apps or icons or just general feedback.

I can promise that any 00 canonmates, rare though they may be, would be showered with love, affection, and possibly paid time. Seriously. I'd probably kick a puppy or two just for the chance, and considering how much I like puppies, that says a lot.

Looking for a cast at soul_campaign! I know it's a long shot but I'd rather ask than not! I have a promise of a Ferio but I'd love to see the girls and everybody else around 8D!! The profile itself can tell you better about the game than I can, but we're moving to DW at the end of the month, and apps go down in February.

Wanted: Hikaru Shidou and Umi Ryuuzaki particularly, because I'd love to play with the trio, but anyone would be wonderful!

Buffy the Vampire Slayer @ mayfield_rpg

Panfandom, medium-paced and now transitioning to comm-based, Mayfield is known for its stunningly in-depth events, relaxed AC, and large playerbase. The pace picks up to 'fast' during events, but there are nice stretches of medium activity in the downtime, and player plots always seem to be met with enthusiasm.

It takes place in bland 50's American suburbia; characters are forced to live together in 'happy little nuclear families' and are stripped of their powers upon arrival, but can gain them back as time goes on. There's a complex overarching plot, and individual characters are often given clues in threads with NPCs, which draws a lot of CR to you. Violence and death are common during events, but can be opted out of, and a killed character returns to life the next day.

CURRENT: Giles.

WANTED: Scoobies would be wonderful, and I'd kill for an Ethan, if there are any out there. All canonpoints are welcome, too; Giles is post-'Gift'/pre-S6, but may be updated in the future.

Dragon Age, The Vampire Diaries, Ar Tonelico, BlazBlue @ cfud

cfud is a slow-medium paced, community-based game set in a zombie-infested summer camp in the middle of nowhere. Usually it's a mixture of crack or slice of life but sometimes we have serious/darker events as well as some nice events run by the player base. Mingle posts are up nearly everyday, they're easy to thread-jump and commentspam in, there's practically players from every timezone so you'll never have to worry about missing anything or having no one around to play with, and the AC is very relaxed so long as you're playing every once in awhile.

Usually Camp's application round are open for 12 hours to submit a Campers app (characters aged 21 and below) or Counselors appp (characters above 21) but because currently Camp's in the process of moving over to dreamwidth, for this round only, the app window will be open from the 22nd to the 28th of January. It's a pretty awesome time to be apping, so if you're interested in making an attempt or even if you're interested in trying any round after, please feel free to PM me on either this account or on ventrue or even just drop an anon comment at the latest beta post and I'd be very happy to help beta you \o/

We recently completed our move to Dreamwidth; all posts are now being made on DW accounts.

lastvoyages is highly focused on character development and relations. It's set on a barge in space, where everyone on board is either an inmate or a warden. Wardens are there to redeem inmates in exchange for absolutely anything! The Admiral fulfills their deal once they graduate an inmate. Deals can range from something as simple as wealth and riches to something as selfish (and/or noble) as the return of a deceased loved one. Inmates have died or are near death (canonically or an invented circumstance), and are in need of a second chance: they get that opportunity on the Barge.

The game is of a medium size and pace, journal based with an easy AC, with several small game wide events a month. It's a CR intensive game, with a mix of crack and serious drama all rolled into one.

Applications open at midnight tonight and will be open for exactly a week! If anyone has questions or concerns about apping a character, we do have a potential apps page, where members can chime in and give input on any character you're thinking of apping. If that's too short a time frame, don't worry - apps open the first full week of every month!
