ten_fwd is a pan-fandom, comm-based game set on the TNG Enterprise. We've got folks from most of the series (and a lot of other canons, an interesting range of people to be in space), and would pretty much love you forever if you'd come play Worf with us (and anybody else! We love everybody. We just especially love TNG types).

We're still fairly new, so we're a smaller and slower-paced game than some, but we are super backtag-friendly. Player-driven plots are awesome, and we've got the ongoing voyages of the Enterprise, visits to planets/spatial anomalies/etc for our mod-driven plot, that people can opt into or out of as they choose.

I think eachdraidh might be a good fit for you. They have a lovely ASOIAF cast. Some people do rely on the lockets (network system), but there are a pretty decent amount of logs as well. It's a fantasy based game and there are monthly events for characters to be involved in. It's backtag friendly from what I've witnessed and it's not overly large in that it's hard to handle or keep track of.

eachdraidh might suit your purposes. It's got a lovely ASOIAF cast already (including a Ned and a Joffrey) and it's at a pace that I think might suit someone trying to get back in. AC is easy and there's events every month for characters to get involved in. It's a fantasy game that takes place in the Drabwurld (fairie world) and you can be part of either the seelie or unseelie kingdom. I'm certain that castmates and gamemates would be happy to backtag and help you get on your feet if you need a little leeway.

Does your Xion happen to have any previous game experience? We've got a respectable little KH cast going over at wethelost: Ienzo, Even, and Aeleus. It's a CRAU game, though, SoL-ish with some overarching plot elements and designed as sort of a healing experience for characters who have been run through the mill in various jamjars. I'd say it's slow-paced with a post every couple of days, but people will backtag into infinity.

It's set in a world being created by a new god. The characters brought into the world are helping to shape that god and, in turn, the world around them, as the god matures.
