The Digital Devil Saga cast at Ryslig would like to make a proposal to you, yes you! We’re looking to get our wonderful cast here at Ryslig as complete as possible.

Details!

The game is ryslig a body-horror and speculative fiction game where characters arrive completely human (even if they weren’t before) and slowly turn into people eating monsters… wait a minute, didn’t that already happen in DDS canon? There’s got to be a catch, right?

The catch is that these monsters are completely new, different, and chosen (with optional opt-outs) by the app team for each characters based on traits and whether “Fits!” or “Conflicts” is selected. You, the player, get to lovingly (or, you know, you could be mean) design your character’s new monster-form based on the chosen type, and there’s a lot of leeway in what you can do! The Ryslig bestiary lists the available types and guidelines.

There are lots of other characters that come into this situation without the benefit of practice to interact with, and also blue skies, a yellow sun, beaches, and plenty of plant-life. Oh, and castmates!

The Cast:
Serph (a brand new werewolf)
Heat (now an earthy troll. he’s not quite sure how that happened either.)
Cielo (the most jammin’ merman you ever did see)
Argilla (continuing the elemental mix-up shenanigans by becoming a wind-natured harpy)
Gale (the tribe faerie (and strategist))

(and we have someone interested in potentially apping Roland in the future)

Wanted: (we will welcome you with open arms, and possibly bribes)
Sera (The Embryon just aren’t complete without her)

Fred (time to become a man, er, monster)
Angel (become bffs with the god turning all the people into monsters. you know you want to)
Varin Omega (we mean, Colonel Beck)
Lupa (Do we need to say it?)
Jinana (“God has cursed us all” still very much relevant)
Bat (enemies welcome too)
Harley (his stint in demon-hood got cut woefully short)

As a note, there is a 50% headcanon rule for apps, so some minor characters might not have enough canon, but we’re willing to cheer you on if you’re willing to try!
