The CITY OF ARIEL is a pan-fandom, dystopian sex game set inside a futuristic city on a ruined world that has seen many cycles of strife over the years. Welcome, Fellow Traveler! The elevator pitch: Exiles meets Diana Wynne Jones’ Homeward Bounders. If you’re familiar with Sliders or Quantum Leap, there’s a bit of that too.

Synodiporia is an AU-hopping panfandom exploration game where ‘event’ and ‘setting’ are one and the same. Unknown entities have gathered a group of people from across the multi-verse, and sent them on a long, strange journey together, crashing into one world after another, meddling in local affairs, and then whisking them off again. In each world some of the travelers are ‘investigators,’ conscious of the fact that they’re new arrivals in a foreign dimension, and some are ‘infiltrators,’ believing themselves to be natives, immersed in local customs, with implanted memories of a life that never was.

As the travelers progress from world to world, they learn new skills - from the natives or from one another. In prohibition-era Brooklyn, gangsters might teach someone how to shoot a tommy gun. In a fantasy kingdom, you might pick up a little wizardry. A PC from the Persona franchise might teach you how to unlock your own Persona, no matter what canon you’re from. You can also learn to manipulate the psychic network linking everyone together, gaining telepathic or dimensional manipulation abilities. As you change the worlds, the worlds change you.

We accept all original characters as well as alternate universe and previous game versions of characters, and under certain conditions, we also can accept multiple versions of the same character. When you apply, your character can be new to Traveling, or a veteran who’s been doing this for quite some time. More information about veteran Travelers can be found on the Previous Universes & Acquiring Skills pages, as well as suggestions for introing a veteran character here.

Besides that, there will be additional mini-events in pocket universes, player plots, dream explorations, Shadow Selves… and the ongoing investigation into the mysterious forces that drew you here. You’re pawns in a game spanning time and space, but a pawn who advances far enough can make big changes, and there are plenty of secrets to uncover.

Applications are open from July 5th-13th. We are currently voting on a light-hearted Jaunt, either Space Opera or Magical Girls! We hope to see you there!

We have a cap of 100 characters, however we currently have about 75 characters, so we have plenty of room for new faces! We do not currently have reserves, but we highly recommend if you are interested in applying to post to the current test drive and get to know some of our current characters.

As you saw your homeworld shattering before your eyes, you found a Crystal and you sank into a void. Then, you finally come to your senses in the world of Crystallis, only to be welcomed by Moogles, small and fluffy creatures who will accompany you for the rest of your journey. Indeed, you are told you are a Hero of Light, one of the legendary heroes who once fought the Calamity from the Skies and saved the world! But now, thousands of years later, the recently formed Heran Empire threatens the stability of the world once again, and signs of the impending return of Calamity arise...

Should the Calamity return, not only Crystallis but the entirety of the worlds shall be destroyed. Will you follow the destiny these people have cast unto you, or will you drift away and walk your own path? No matter what the answers is, you will have to pierce the secrets of this world if you want to go home.

♦ melodiesoflife is a plot-driven adventure roleplay featuring an overarching plot, with a few slice of life elements. The game is open to Canon Characters, AUs and OCs!

♦ The roleplay takes place in Crystallis, a world inspired by the Final Fantasy franchise where magic and technology co-exist. No prior knowledge of the Final Fantasy franchise is necessary to play in Melodies of Life! In spite of all the references, the world of Crystallis is an original one.

♦ Upon waking up in Crystallis, characters are all equipped with Jobs: White Mage, Dark Knight, Gunner, etc. They replace what powers they may have once had. Up to two Jobs can be equipped at once and they can be switched regularly.

♦ Characters in Melodies of Life all have their own Moogle! Besides being fluffy and faithful companions, Moogles are those who can switch characters' Jobs.

♦ Mognet is the network in Melodies of Life. It is entirely mail-based and handled by your Moogles. Characters can write a mail and send it to one or many characters: their Moogle will take the mail and make sure everyone receives it within a few hours.

♦ Melodies of Life is a slow game that can grow medium-paced during events. The player base is very backtag friendly and the Activity Check is easy, with a monthly requirement of Seven Log Comments, Fifteen Mognet Comments or a Post (only one of the three).

♦ Applications open on a bi-monthly basis. Reservations are currently open until April 30th and Applications will be open from May 01st to May 08th.

MASK OR MENACE, sequel to capeandcowl, is a panfandom RPG based on the graphic novel New Frontier and set in a parallel, modern day universe... with a twist. Although the year is 2015, some sentiments and technology may be more reminiscent of the 1950s Cold War era, and some may seem far flung from the future. Anti-hero sentiment runs rampant, but you're a special case. That and officially a government secret. Will you use your powers for good, for evil, or will you even use them at all? You open your eyes and see you’re in a giant winged egg-like building, in a world completely different from your own home. Floating bunnies are here to greet you, cheerfully handing you a journal and chirping encouragements to write to those you know. From the doorway, you can smell the sea, hear the wind in the trees, see the long road sprawling out to meet a little city before you. It’s almost peaceful, even though when you try to step out, you’re blocked from leaving by a powerful force. Outside, the world seems bright and warm, and the voices behind you are cheerful. But still, you cannot leave.

ABOUT US: The Basics
❀ Kiseki is a panfandom jamjar game set in the separate world of Miracle Country, a series of magical islands. It is a CLAMP inspired (meaning series such as Card Captor Sakura, X/1999, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, and Magic Knight Rayearth – just to name a few), but no prior knowledge of the manga-ka is necessary to join – it’s great for both CLAMP enthusiasts and canon-blind appers.

❀ Kiseki has both game-wide events and player-run plots, with events tending to run on at least a monthly basis, ranging in themes from fluffy/shippy to more action/plot-heavy events. There’s a range from light-hearted, slice-of-life events to more horror-based or survival-based. Events are also replayable, within reason, inviting more character-driven plotting. There’s a huge emphasis on building CR and interpersonal relationships between characters.

❀ Kiseki is a small game (10 players and 35 characters) with a small and friendly player base, very backtag friendly and accommodating to all tagging-speeds and tagging styles; we have a bi-monthly AC of 35 comments total or one open post.

❀ Reserves are always open and last for one week, and the application itself is simple: no third person required! TDM threads can be used in the application to provide a sample of the character’s voice and characterization.

❀ The game pace is overall medium-paced, sometimes faster during events and comments tend more towards comment-spam rather than prose. However, our players match pace and format easily and the game accommodates all tagging styles.

❀ The game is comm-based and gameplay consists of both open logs and journal entries posted through magically-connected paper journals.

❀ We now have a test drive open to everyone!



ABOUT US: The Extras
❀ Kiseki has no medium divide with players – anime, video game, cartoon, and LA characters are all welcome! We are also lone canon warrior friendly and obscure canon friendly.

❀ Kiseki is all around ship-friendly. Both canon ships, cross-canon ships, and cross-media ships are welcome!

❀ There is no forced-humanization for non-human characters. Power-nerfing is relative, usually left up to the mun’s own discretion. Characters with powers that are too disruptive can work things out with the mods who will do their best to accommodate them and the game itself.

❀ Kiseki is kid character friendly, with characters as young as six or seven in game before. The mods are always willing to work out accommodations and consider them when designing events.

❀ We are on insanejournal which means all free accounts get 100 free icons; insanejournal is currently on invite-code only, so please feel free to poke me if you need a code – upon acceptance into the game, an invite code can be provided if you need it.

Carvaka is a sex game with a survival/adventure style and an ongoing metaplot. Characters are not transported to the setting, but wake up to familiar surroundings. ten_fwd is a community-based jamjar with a twist game that takes place within the Star Trek: The Next Generation universe. There is an overarching plot that characters are invited to contribute toward: they have been ported to the Enterprise by Q, who has marooned your character in the far future with the TNG crew; however, you are also invited to make your own mischief, and most if not all game plots will be optional.

While the ultimate goal is at first to rein in Q, there's going to be plenty of room for slice-of-life shenanigans and missions to distant planets, with organized quarterly events. ten_fwd is backtagging friendly and runs at a medium-slow pace. ▶ route_29 is a panfandom, medium-paced game set in the wonderful world of Pokémon! Specifically, Route is set in the Gen IV, HeartGold/SoulSilver incarnations of Johto and Kanto, but with an available Pokédex up through Gen VI and plenty of exposure to elements of the other regions through mod-run events!

▶ No prior knowledge of Pokémon canon is necessary; we're very friendly to PokéExperts and complete newbies alike! As a predominantly slice-of-life game with regular mod-run events and plots, your Route experience can be as involved or as low-pressure as you make it; we've got a little something for everyone.

▶ We're also very open to player-run plots and villain-friendly — while participation in Team Rocket isn't mandatory for our more villainous characters, we're glad to put the ruthless organization's resources at their disposal when it comes to wreaking havoc on the nation!

▶ Route is a journal-based game, but if the upkeep and maintenance of your journal's friends list is an issue, we keep the community's reading list updated for you so all you have to do is join the communities, the same as in any other game!

▶ We're medium-sized, with just under 100 characters currently in play, and we run at a comfortable medium-slow pace: on average you're likely to see two to four new posts per day, but with natural fluctuations in speed — we run a little faster during events, and a little slower periodically. We're also very backtag-friendly!

▶ AC is quite manageable — just three proofs per month, which can be satisfied with any combination of posts, logs, or comment threads (totaling at least 10 comments, 5 from you and 5 from someone else).

milliways_bar is a medium-fast paced, community-based, prose-based panfandom jamjar game, set within the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Universe. Characters are allowed to move freely from their world to the titular Bar At The End Of The Universe through doors - which on their side of the door might be anything from a porthole to a hole in the ground, and from there can either willingly move back and forth between worlds, stay upstairs at the Bar's inn or be "Bound" or trapped at Milliways without an escape hatch back for any length of time.

The mods just posted for the game right here, but in case this ends up on the next page or something, Route is a panfandom, journal-based game set in the world of Pokémon. It's very laid back, friendly, and has a very easy AC. It's lighthearted, with events every now and again to spice things up. Our KH and BD casts are as follows:

The Warehouse

Welcome to the Warehouse.
The Agents of the Warehouse have been tasked with keeping the world safe from dangerous Artifacts. They travel the world, searching for these objects with mystical powers, and bring them back to the Warehouse for safe storage. Unfortunately, not everyone believes Artifacts should be tucked away and out of the hands of the general public. And some wish to take down the Warehouse altogether.

An Artifact has been broken in two – on accident or on purpose, the Agents haven’t yet figured out. What is clear is that when the Artifact was broken, it tore a hole in the barriers between this reality and all the other universes that exist.

In its broken state, this Artifact has started pulling people from their universes into this one. Innocent lives, ripped from their home, out of space and out of time, with no way back until the Agents find the missing half of the Artifact and make it whole again.

Worse, it seems someone is bent on making not only the Agents’ lives difficult, but the lives of all these people now in the Agents’ care as well. The Agents are scrambling to find the broken part of the Artifact and fix the tear between universes. They are doing all that they can, but it might not be enough.

To all those the Artifact has pulled to this universe, let us just say: Welcome to the Warehouse.

The Digital Devil Saga cast at Ryslig would like to make a proposal to you, yes you! We’re looking to get our wonderful cast here at Ryslig as complete as possible.

Details!

The game is ryslig a body-horror and speculative fiction game where characters arrive completely human (even if they weren’t before) and slowly turn into people eating monsters… wait a minute, didn’t that already happen in DDS canon? There’s got to be a catch, right?

The catch is that these monsters are completely new, different, and chosen (with optional opt-outs) by the app team for each characters based on traits and whether “Fits!” or “Conflicts” is selected. You, the player, get to lovingly (or, you know, you could be mean) design your character’s new monster-form based on the chosen type, and there’s a lot of leeway in what you can do! The Ryslig bestiary lists the available types and guidelines.

There are lots of other characters that come into this situation without the benefit of practice to interact with, and also blue skies, a yellow sun, beaches, and plenty of plant-life. Oh, and castmates!

SPIRAL @Empatheias

Empatheias is a large, floating island and is the last remnant of a destroyed world. Its only city, Verens, is a somewhat strange place with its steampunk design and magitech technology. No two buildings ever seem to look the same, but perhaps it's not just because of the nature of its fashion. Emotions also help to change and sometimes warp the city and the island itself. Through these emotions, the island continues to grow, revealing more about what happened to the world below. These emotions can also play a role in much smaller ways. A simple laugh can illuminate a room, an angry outburst can shatter windows. The grass can both grow and wither depending on who is standing on it.

However, there's more to this world than meets the eye. With the appearance of giant, powerful, mythical beings called the Arehtei, it would appear that while the floating island is thriving, the rest of the world is in its death throes. Something tragic happened eight hundred years ago, a mystery that no one remembers but are determined to solve. It would seem that the path home may prove more difficult than anticipated, and may require some "emotional aid" on your part. Perhaps this is the very reason why you were brought here to begin with.

But there are too many unanswered questions, and with each one that is answered, more arise. The only clues you have are tied to your emotions—emotions strong enough to shake the very foundations of this world.

So keep an eye on how you and others feel. Who knows what will be revealed next?


Empatheias is a panfandom role-playing game where characters can affect their environment through their emotions, CR, and other discoveries they make. It has a mixture of slice-of-life and adventure with a focus on character relationships and development. The plot and lore of the world will also be revealed through various large events determined by the emotional flow of the game base.

We would love to see Hiyono Yuizaki or any of the Blade Children such as Eyes Rutherford, Rio Takeuchi, Kousuke Asadzuki, or Ryouko Takamachi! I can also happily provide some icons for Hiyono and a few for Rio as well! The game itself is comm-based and around medium pace with plenty of opportunities for both slice of life and plotty action, and due to the nature of emotions, there's a pretty simple workaround as to how characters can combat the curse in-game.

The Lastvoyages will be a community based game as of July 1st, 2015! lastvoyages is highly focused on character development and interactions. It's set on a physics-defying barge in unknown space, where everyone on board is either an inmate or a warden. Wardens are there to redeem inmates in exchange for absolutely anything! The Admiral fulfills their deal once they graduate an inmate. Deals can range from something as simple as wealth and riches to something as selfish (and/or noble) as the return of a deceased loved one. Inmates have died or are near death (canonically or under an invented circumstance), and are in need of a second chance: they get that opportunity on the Barge. The game is of a medium size and pace, comm based as of July 1st, with an easy AC, with several small game wide events a month. It's a CR intensive game, often focusing on the serious side of redeeming morally corrupt or gray characters - but with cracky storylines and events worked in to lighten things up. WELCOME TO PANEM

Katniss Everdeen's spark has set the world of Panem on fire, and the Capitol has been scrambling to beat down the flames ever since. President Snow is presented with two options if he's not to lose everything: Crush the rebellions with force, or pacify their anger. And when you have been murdering people's children for almost 75 years, that is no small task.

However, the Hunger Games cannot just end. The Capitol expects them, thrives off them, and although Snow is willing to pacify the Districts, he won't be seen as weak. He refuses to let them to forget what is waiting for them if they ever make one misstep, and now, it will be on their minds every day.

Now they can pull Tributes from all worlds, all realities, and all times. Unlimited Tributes, and not a drop of Panem's blood will be shed to fuel the rebellion's power. And the Capitol's power, its force, can be broadcast all day, every day.

The city loves the constant excitement, but not everyone is so pleased about it.

Brief Description of your game: X-PROJECT is an X-Men Roleplaying Community on Livejournal inspired by the Marvel Movieverses. Combining the X-Men movieverses with the other existing Marvel properties, we use a combination of in-character journals and email/IM logs. There's a number of settings for a range of play, whatever your preference, and the slate has been wiped clean on all of our available and retired characters.
