The pace thing might be a killer (I am not really sure what constitutes "medium" versus "fast"), but I wanted to toss a suggestion for asgardeventide out there, just because of note about log emphasis. The game does utilize a network, but there's a very big emphasis on logs (there's one thrown up for each event, including new character introductions) that are used pretty heavily, especially since the AC is a straight comment count (including IC inboxes), and posts don't give a pass.

It's a bigger game, but the playerbase is incredibly friendly and it has a ratio of 2 OOC days = 1 IC day, so even if you go a week without even glancing at the game, that's only three IC days' worth of stuff to catch up on.

We have a test drive that just went up if you're at all interested in just checking us out, and I'm sure our Gwen would be overjoyed! :) Regardless, good luck with your game search.

Have you ever looked at teleios? It's medium based, community based and is log driven as well. It has a heavy metaplot that I could easily see either Adelle or Mulder getting into. Characters are sent there to work off their debt and earn "utopia".

Have you considered hollyheights? It's slice of life with monthly events that can vary from traditional "curse" style events to more grandiose ones (April's event was a setting change RPG event, complete with quests and monsters!). I would call it a bit faster, though I think it's more along the lines of commenting as opposed to posts; because of the event, if you're looking to gauge posts, I would suggest looking at March's calendar.

We have a Vaan from last round, but basically the entire FF casts would love a Balthier. There is plotting done on plurk (I think it's unavoidable), but I still talk on AIM and through PM with people and I know there's a few people in game that exclusively communicate that way. I won't make any promises about that, though. If you'd like to give us a whirl, we've got a test drive up over here & I would be happy to answer any questions you might have!

Have you ever looked at teleios? I feel like it would fit a lot of what you're looking for and we have a large OUAT cast who would love a Tinkerbell. (I'd also love to see Sarah too, personally). It's slow to medium paced, backtag friendly and the metaplot is really friendly for world building and effecting what's going on. There is power less but characters are able to earn back their powers as they go.

Might I suggest box_network? It's a medium-paced horror game based on Cabin in the Woods with frequent events and a metaplot that can change based on character actions. No memloss or AU, and we don't currently have a cast but I've seen current players talk about bringing some trolls in on the next app round.

Eridan wouldn't have his wand or rifle when he got in, if that matters, but pending mod approval he might just find them while he's there.

(And personally, I'd adore him in-game!)

I'm not sure if I commented to you or someone else last ATP about hollyheights or if it would be something you're interested in (slice of life). I would consider it medium paced, but I think that is pretty subjective! I would gauge by checking March's posts since the event this month was a setting shift where the characters didn't have access to the main community for about two weeks. I personally find it to be pretty good with backtagging as well as boomeranging? I play some unrelated FFs there, but we have a Chris and I'm probably going to be apping Parker either this round or next.

However, apps are only open at the begging of each month. I'm not sure if that would be a dealbreaker for you.

So I just brought post falling off the train Bucky to lastvoyages and would totally love a Steve to play with if you'd be at all interested. c: TLV is set on a prison ship called the Barge, piloted by the mysterious Admiral who brings people on board as either wardens or inmates. Inmates are people who - while not necessarily bad or evil - basically royally screwed up their lives and need something of a wake up call to get them back on track, and wardens are the ones who help guide them to that right path. It's got a big focus on character development for both wardens and inmates, we have about two or three game wide events a month lasting for anywhere between one to five days on average, and these are pretty evenly balanced between super serious and dark and light and silly.

It's got an active network (although logs and spam also do happen), people are very good at adapting to various tagging speeds so backtagging is totally acceptable, and is pretty comfortably medium paced. There are a few posts a day with a lot more popping up during events, but is overall quite manageable and consistently paced. The biggest overarching plot we have is the relationship between your character's warden or inmate, and that's something you can definitely customize to fit your preferences and speed when you chat with potential plotting partners.

We've got a pretty eclectic Marvel cast at the moment, with Bucky, Bruce and Natasha from MCU, a couple 616-ers, Anya Lehnsherr from a What If where she survived the fire, and representatives from ASM and XMFC, and I can guarantee Steve would be getting a lot of fun cross canon cr from more than just the Marvel guys.

/rambles, anyway, we're actually going to be closing warden apps for the month of May, but they should be open again soon, we've just got a crazy amount of wardens to inmates right now, ahaha. If any of it sounds interesting to you, I can definitely let you know when they're back open! I'm also more than happy to answer any questions you might have or anything. c:

So, hi! I'm Dee, and I play Lee at asgardeventide and Duck at box_logs and I'd adore playing with a Carley.

Asgard is a myth/fantasy jamjar game and pretty backtag friendly. We have a Clementine too, who I know would also love a Carley. Only thing is, it's probably faster than you're wanting - at the faster side of medium, probably.

The Box is a bit slower, and as well as Duck, we also have a Clementine (and we might maybe, possibly be getting a Molly. maybe). It's also backtag friendly in my experience, and at the moment is probably a slowish medium pace, because of a recent mod switchover, which has slowed things down somewhat.

I don't know if either of these are of interest to you, aha. If not, I do hope you find the game you're looking for!

outer_divide is a small, slow paced comm based game with a whole world available to explore. Powers are active everywhere except the immediate are where characters wake up (sometimes they'll get nerfed due to pissing off the authorities, but so long as she doesn't go randomly assaulting civilians, she's good). There's a lot of room for characters to impact the plot and the world as a whole.

And boy do we have mutants for you! We have Evo Kurt, Pietro and Todd, Wolverine; Wolverine and the X-Men Wanda; and 616 Molly here.

HELLO I don't know what your stance on AUs is, but since I saw your post here I figured I'd drop you a line to point out capitalh. Capital H is a superhero based AU game set in Los Angeles, and can accommodate pretty much any sort of character who would fit into a comic book environment with as little or as much AUing as you'd like.

Presently we do have a troll cast of about four character (of which I play Sollux Captor), and the in game world has been built so that historically Earth has been at war with Alternia, and so most of the troll characters ended up there while trying to escape their fates on Alternia. There is some weird Ancestor stuff happening too, but that's another story.

And if you didn't like it for Aradia, with it being a superhero game it could also work quite nicely for someone from Umbrella Academy. Or both! AC is set up so that you only have to do AC for half your characters - since it's such a big world, it makes it easier to get into plots if you have a variety, and not all characters are expected to be kept active simultaneously. Multiple characters definitely isn't necessary though.

It is also one of the most backtaggy games I've ever played in, to be quite honest.
